At last I have got my Sims 2 working. After a random attempt to install the EP again, it past the dreaded 23%!! I can now continue uploading sims. (if you really enjoy playing The Sims 2, then I urge you took take good care in the condition of your CDs... mine are pretty scratched up and it DOES affect the installation procedure.. :blah
