I have a folder in my Favourites list with all the sites that help me create things for TS2. You can also pull textures from some of these sites because the photos they have are nice and large. Please comment if you have any to add - I'm sure others would appreciate it!
Allposters.com - This site is great for paintings and posters because you can pull the texture right from the site. I recommend that you give credit to the artist when upload a painting.
RugScout - A fabulous site for all types of Oriental and Persian rugs.
Myang's Free Texture Library Image After Texture Hound - These are great free texture sites. You can use them for everything: objects, walls, floors, groundcover, and more. If you do a search on Google for "texture maps" or "3d textures" you can find many more.
I like art.com for posters and paintings. You can search by subject, so it makes browsing easy. Keep clicking on the picture until you get the last one offered. (The next to last one offered is usually the best jpg, but the last one sometimes gives a better image and often a bmp choice.) It has a very good selection, and you can always google search for more work by a particular artist.
