Walls!

Date Posted: 5th Feb 2010 at 5:59 PM

I need to take a break from making masks and such, my project folder holds
a bunch of unreleased items, mostly to Project MM. All this texture making
have really take time from my "time of learning", so, a few days off
from making masks, skins and makeups to try out the other areas, such as
items recolors, walls and floors. Making a few careers perhaps, figure how
much work it's behind squeezing in a very own career reward... well, all
in all, since I plan to be working most of the time solo and people simply
don't come near the things I really want with theirs CC, there's a lot of
learning a head.

Going to be fun to make things that is more or less unique.
Can't wait, practice, practice! But first, release my Floor and Walls textures.

Copper Swimsuit... eeeeh?

Date Posted: 2nd Feb 2010 at 8:58 PM

I sit and peek at my swimsuit (Oh so cold Steampunk Copper swimsuit) and...
Bleh! I'm not feeling finished at all with it, I wonder why I did even upload it.
I do have some thoughts about a new shape for it and some
nicer details in mind, so I'll probably delete the current one quite soon.
But until then... oh, what do I know?

Tribut to Luis Royo.

Date Posted: 1st Feb 2010 at 10:05 PM

An artist that I do like a lot is Luis Royo. Though, have always been
a mystery to me what it is with his art that catch me. Anyways, I decided
to make an outfit (that I'm able to make) based on one of his drawings.
Question is, however, how alike do I want it to be? I'm thinking on adding
more patterns to the outfit... perhaps an relative identical copy of the
outfit worn in the drawing and one that is more based on my ideas
is a good option.

Anyways, we'll see how it ends up.

Project Mensch Machine - Progress Entry

Date Posted: 30th Jan 2010 at 9:59 PM

[ ] It's recommended to peek back here to keep yourself updated with the progress.
-----------------------------------------
I were thinking on title this entry with; "No kind of life for sure!" and tell
about my great discovery of that I don't have any kind of life today.
From when I woke up this morning to now, I've jumped all over
the site, waiting on a PM telling me if my latest texture
have got approved or rejected. That's pretty much all I have done today.
Not so interesting, now is it?

So, instead of going on with that I'm going to give
some project update on M.M, and spread some light over it.

This entry do contain some text and not so many pictures.
If you are not a fan of reading it's recommended you stop here.

This isn't a full view of the project, it does however contain what's
on the drawing board so far.

1.0 Overall Info.

Is there a story behind to why cute, nasty and dorky looking machines
out of the blue is invading your neighborhood?
Well, there is no reason to why they might be invading YOUR
neighborhood, that I'll be leaving to your imagination.
Each model do, however, have their origin and history to why, where and
when they first appeared (see 1.1 android models and info).

So, what more than skins is planned to be in this project?
I'm planning on making various of items for Buy Mode and
Build Mode, I also plan to make my own unique animations (once I get
to that point)
. But don't expect that those kind of things
to come any time soon. I see this project as a road of learning with
goals along the way and I am somewhere in the very beginning of it.
I'm also working on this solo and there's a lot to be done and
not so much time.

1.0.0 Apoxoz T12 (Moksau 1949) Male/Female
History:
Back in 1944, the Russians did discover a new type of ore, which is
today known as Brytilium X. Once refined it shows to be a strong but
also very easy to shape material. However, mining the ore, in the
deep underground tunnels were all but safe.
In the later part of 1946, too many miners had lost their life, and research
for alternative ways of extracting the ore began. In Feb 13 1949, a few
miles outside Moscow, the first Apoxoz T12 unit were activated and sent
down into the mines. It proved to be a very useful tool in mining the
Brytilium and mass production of Apoxoz began.

1.0.1 Protostratica 9 Female
Protostratica 9 is an expert on repairing and cleaning, but is also
programmed to safe guard its "Master" from danger.
It were developed in the earl 90's by a company called Swox, though
the 1st to the 8th model of Protostratica were complete failure.
It were quite common that the early models would malfunction and
attack their masters.

Thoughts and Old drawings

Date Posted: 30th Jan 2010 at 6:56 AM

07:14 and I haven't been sleeping at all last night. The hours have passed
by fast thought. Haven't really done anything of interest either... went
through old pictures on my USB-memory, they are between 1-2 years old...
Should start with writing dates on sketches and finished drawings.

Personally I think I've improved my drawing skills a lot since these
were made, not so much Anime now days either, which is good? Bad?
I don't know, guess it's 50/50 there.

I really wonder how many styles I'm using, I'm not trying to get stuck
with just one style. Maybe spend some time with the growing piles of
drawings on my desk and sort them after style. Sounds like an idea.

------------------------------------------------------------------
So, the Mensch Machine project... I've got stuck as it seem, guess it
is a way for my body to say; "Go straight to bed, damn it!", and maybe
I should do that, at least try to sleep some. I've got quite far the
past two... errr, three days though.

Body Textures: 8
Eyes: 10
Lipsticks: 6
Nail Paints: 4
Hair Textures: 8 (Bald heads)
Face Paint: 8

Thought it would be way less, so, maybe I can release my project
sooner that I expected. Will have to see what next week looks like
though.

The Mensch-Machine Project.

Date Posted: 30th Jan 2010 at 2:25 AM

So... the project, Mensch-Machine, goes as planned so far, but I think
I'll have to leave some stuff out. I can't mesh for a penny, nor have
I managed to find any meshes with similar shapes to my ideas.

I could maybe try to find a parter to work with, though
sharing my sketches will be rather hard now when I don't
have a scanner or a digi' camera (cursed mother to crush
the memory card for my digi' camera, last time I let her borrow it).

Second issue with having a parter would be trust. Can I trust that this
person will not skip off with my sketches and say it was all his/her idea?

Oh well, I hope I'll get enough time soon for to practice meshing...
Should fetch some tutorials now when I have it in my mind.
