I'll start with saying that I can only go so far on helping on this one, as I'm not a windows user, but I'm an CH T&A user, and the installation process is the same.
First things first: Verify you can run and launch the game without mods.
If the game works without mods then you probably make an error with the mod installation. Go through it again, step by step:
1) Start by opening and extracting ANFiles01.zip to your games installation directory, e.g. The folder that also includes other folders "_Installer", "Apartment Life", "Best of Business", etc.
2) If you've done this correctly there should now be an additional folder "The Sims 2 Angels and Nurses Stuff" and the installation directory should look similar to this:
3) Now, open ANFiles02.zip and extract the TSData folder within to the new "The Sims 2 Angels and Nurses Stuff" directory, ensure the files keep their hierarchy. If done correctly then The Sims 2 Angel and Nurses Stuff/TSData/Res/3D/ should now contain: Objects03.package Objects06.package Objects07.package Objects08.package Objects09.package Sims05.package Sims07.package Sims08.package
4) Repeat the process with TA+ANcommon01.zip and TA+ANcommon02.zip extracting their contents into the "The Sims 2 Angels and Nurses Stuff" directory, ensuring the hierarchy is kept intact.
If ultimate collection then:
- 5) Go into the Fun with Pets/SP9 directory and copy the CSBin and TSBin directories from that directory to the The Sims 2 Angels and Nurses Stuff directory.
Else:
- 5) Go into the Mansion and Garden Stuff directory and copy the CSBin/TSBin directories from that directory to the The Sims 2 Angels and Nurses Stuff directory.
6) You may now launch the game from the The Sims 2 Angels and Nurses Stuff/TSBin/Sims2EP9.exe file.
It "should" just work, avoiding the directx error.
