Do you know how hacks get made?

By someone who reads the request and makes it.

Sometimes you never know who is reading this thread.

I don't make hacks but I know a guy who does and he's receptive to making them if possible.

That hack about stocking fish and other foods? It wasn't my idea but I read that request and thought 'hey, that's a pretty cool idea, and he'd probably be interested in that-I'll go ask him."

It took him about 3 weeks and we tested it, voila, it's done!

They have the same kind of thread at GOS and the requests get made most of the time.

I'm sure that people do read this thread.

Carnival games from Vacation and Makin' Magic. There is nothing I have missed more for 20+ years ever since getting Sims 2. Everytime I build a community lot in Sims 2, it always feels lacking and repetitive, inferior to whenever I could build one in Sims 1...

I always click back a couple of pages and read the posts on the end of the old page. I don't like the new "endless scrolling". I like to find the end of what I read last time and read from there. Unless I have been away for months or something, anyway.

The catnip toy wears out after a while and needs replacing. A hack that does that to the other toys.

Which games? Some Carnival stuff has been made for the Sims 2.

Thankfully, we're on to a new page! YAY!

So here's my idea for a hack/mod... Holding hands.
Sims should be able to sit on a park bench or a sofa and hold hands. In the booth at the diner, too. Kids should be able to hold their parents hands, or each other's hands. Remember walking in line, holding hands in elementary school? Why not? It would be nice if they could take walks, holding hands. ...taking walks is a mod I'd already mentioned in the past, which would make trails through the woods and around parks much more enjoyable. A walk around the lake, instead of "go here, now go here"... But how nice would it be, if two teen sims could walk around the lake holding hands? And that elder couple, many years after, doing the same? It probably wouldn't be very easy to coordinate, but it would still be a great feature, if you ask me.

and @simsample -- i'll remember you in 100 years! ...unless i've developed Alzheimer's and in that case all bets re: memory are OFF. I wouldn't be able to recall making the bet in the first place anyway, sooo... hahaha

That would be a cool hack. I think the sitting one would be easier to do, as I don't recall any animations where sims move from one place to another in sync together. If someone could crack that then we'd probably be able to have pushable strollers and other similar stuff too.

And wouldn't that be fantastic?! They could even roller skate (or ice skate) together!! C'mon Sims 2, 25th Anniversary Edition!! ...EAxis, you've got 5 years to get it right, and the Legacy cluster to help you get the kinks out... think of it as a trial run! I want a full-on EP!

It is too much to ask for, but basically all of Vacation's carnival games.

I have sorted through jacky93's tumblr already. If I'm content with her appreciably constant uploads, I wouldn't have said so.

Pick'N'Mix has a roller coaster object. I want to build one some day.

Can EA do it? Of course, they have it in the Sims 3.

Speaking of skating, I wish someone I would make a mod that allowed skaters to converse with each other like DoubleeSha's swim and talk and Neder's (one of my favorite modders here) blow bubbles and talk (see Charity's post below) mods.
