I have Sims 2 and Nightlife. I downloaded the file in winrar, tried to open it and it reads that the file is corrupted, specifically the mesh.

There were no errors in the archive: MTS2_thePrincess_858189_secretary.rar

Download it again.

Repeat as needed. Sometimes files get corrupted during download.
