They've made themselves vulnerable by making the advance, and its rejection can be devastating. For the person that rejects them, however, especially if they are good-looking and popular, the rejection can be a triviality, forgotten within minutes.

For which the memory can be green. However, just because they rejected them doesn't mean that they won't remember it or think of it later. Maybe they did the rejection because they felt unsure themselves in that case the rejection memory could be red. They'd wonder if they shouldn't of accepted.

IIRC, Mary Sue Pleasant rejected Daniel for a first kiss, but of course they do end up together ... so rejection isn't always cut and dried

Is there a mod that makes the OFB displays work as shelves and not just for OFB sales? Like I can put something on it and my sim can pick it up to use, or I can put perfume display on it on an unowned community lot and my sim can actually buy from it?

You're right @CaliBrat! I often play gay teenage boys in (usually) successful relationships. (They're usually successful because, to be honest, my game is idealistic and utopian.) But if another boy had made a serious gay approach to me when I was a teen, I'd almost certainly have rejected him. I'd have done so because in those days I thought homosexuality was wrong, and anyway it was illegal. But afterwards I'd likely have regretted the rejection, especially if the approach was from a boy I really liked. I'd wonder about what might have been. Romantic interactions and feelings can be many-faceted, and it's wrong of me to over-simplify things.

It's almost true that my Sims made me gay! They certainly helped me to accept myself as I really am. Andrew in Veronaville lives a life that I now wish I could have lived. But the moral and social climate in modern Veronaville is much, much more open and accepting than it was half a century ago in Scotland. Of course it's much better today, but even now I don't see real teenage boys openly kissing each other in the street the way that Andrew and his friends do. I fear it's literally true that I live my love life vicariously through my Sims!!

Seconded. Up until my late teens, if I ever did have a gay Sim couple, I wouldn't save. (What, out of fear that my parents would search my computer? One of them doesn't even know what a computer even does.)

One day, I just decided to develop my own RL character a bit further I guess, and I saved the game with a gay couple there. That was sort of one of the things that really started me becoming more open about my sexuality to myself (or at least, the more important part - be less and less ignorant and homophobic towards other people living their own lives).

OFB, earning tips related idea. A mod that mimics SIMS 3 earning money tips - sim can perform music, sing, do fire performance...while audience sit and watch the sim who performs. The money tips earned would depend on how many sims watch and reacts positively to the performance.

P. S. I wish there was a way to be able to put TIPS JAR on any distance on the lot when sims perform for tips (like actually separate the jar from the sims, it doesnt have to be near the sims when the audience give money tips).

Isn't this how it works now? More sims watch, and give tips based on the performer's talent? I don't play TS3, so I don't know how TS3 operates. There's a stand-up mic somewhere in the downloads section. I like that idea too. It's just kinda silly that your sims can't perform on stage and get paid for it. Sims have to walk up on stage and put money in everyone's jar individually... Seems kinda weird. Maybe a fix for the Electrono-Ticket Machine, where the audience paid a fee to be there, and the performers got a cut? I dunno...

A hack that allows maids use the 'ultra-clean' interaction instead of the regular clean, even if they don't have 10 neat points.

I didn't know there's a ultra-clean interaction.

I found this mod: https://modthesims.info/d/447675/no...3VEwLG5Ry2_cc7w

There's a version that only prevents personality to change and motives do change. I wish it was the other way around. Personality can change, but not motives.

Yes, I think it's limited to those with 9 or 10 neat points - when cleaning, you see a sparkling bubble effect and the stuff they clean takes longer to get dirty again.

I knew about the sparking bubble effect, but I didn't realise that things stayed clean longer. My original Sim and friend Andrew has this ability, but I regret to say that it is the aspect in which he is least like me. In comparison I am a lazy fat slob, complete with the Maxis fat male body fat morph! I am trying to do something about my fatness, but am finding it hard work. I wish I could get my weight down the way my Sims do, by swimming a few lengths at the local public pool.

Yeah... I've seen them walking down the hall, blowing bubbles out their butts... but i've never noticed any difference in how long it took things to get dirty again. Not sure how accurate that is. Even the sims wiki has no information on any kind of "ultra-clean" interaction. I suppose the only way to verify it would be to try and dig it out of SimPE... but i'm not sure how thoroughly skills and personality points have been dissected and decoded. i'm a little bit skeptical.

I think I'd benefit from just that, too. The problem is, my player seems to have gone AFK and no one is keeping an eye on my hunger bar when I'm devouring paninis. It's green probably always.

Perhaps it is to do with Pescado's Macro Clen - I noticed that neat sims clean better, and take a bit longer, bubbles, bubbles everywhere, so there may be something in that mod. (I don't know. But most of my sims clean their homes themselves, and lazy ones won't even bother to clean everything).

Is there a mod that allows you to change the household's name in-game? I know you can do it in SimPE but I'm wondering if there's an easier way.

Only by changing surnames, splitting the households, then re-merging them back together (merging into the new name). This is a bloody pain compared to SimPE.

Yes! I do do this sometimes, but it's much easier to do it in SimPE, like you said. I wish there was something like the Last Name Copier, that added an option to rename the household easily.
