It wasn't there - but I finally found it. Ugh. I'm so disorganized.

And I might've killed it entirely....

Here's how I screwed up:
1. Deleted the "original" mod that I posted earlier, still found here on MTS.
2. Put in the new smoking mod, which I will refer to as the vape+ mod for purposes of this discussion
3. game crashed. Okay, something must be wrong. Let's put everything back where it was...
4. Delete the vape+ mod, and then go to recycle bin and restore the "original" mod.
5. Check my folder (which I had just reorganized because, like I stated, I'm disorganized) to ensure the restored file is there... NOPE.
Game refuses to open.

By the way, I note "Original" because I had forgotten that at some point there was an alternate, shown on this video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNzW1t_7MLA
which is now apparently unavailable for download....?

And now my game won't open at all so I definitely screwed something up.

Don't be like me.

Not that anyone really cares, but:
Bwahaha, my mod-goblin hoarding behavior had a backup file for the overhauled smoking mod hidden away. As far as I can currently discern, my game is playable & "fixed."

Still, though, don't be like me.

[-_-;;]
My inner mod goblin wishes there were more mature-oriented mods that didn't go too far.
Looking for a new/better smoking mod is what caused my issues in the first place. I'm of the opinion that it shouldn't be difficult for adults who have been playing this now 16 to 12 year old game (depending on if you want to count it off from the basegame's release date, or the release date of ITF) to find mods that match the content of their current age.

I what a mod that is a combination of shown content & general "fade-to-black" scenarios; filled with activities & moodlets for sims that would've been considered okay in family oriented or supposed children movies from the 1970s and 1980s that could bump up my game in realism, and grittiness. (Think Star Wars, Charlott's Webb, Goonies, E.T., Gremlins, Labyrinth... If you know you know.)

For an example; a sim with an addiction going to the criminal hideout rabbit hole to get their fix. Nothing explicitly shown, everything implied, interesting moodlets provided. Adds grittiness, but doesn't turn the game into full-on inappropriate mature content.

Some of us have commented on this thread before about how we wish evil/mean sims could be more evil/mean. Enough of us seem to want it, but I can't really find anything that matches the description without breaking my game.

Y'all got any mod suggestions that are not on a website like lover's for people who want their game to contain appropriately more mature content?

Lastly, thank you for taking the time to read my rant and if my game breaks again I won't ramble about it any further.

I wish there was an easier way to delete unwanted bad CC on sims 3 without all kinds of unnecessary downloads. Like if there was a way to delete CC clothes for example via CAS because there is a trash can button there, but can't be used on anything other than clothes you have colored and saved.

If there was a way to remove any piece of clothing by just clicking that trash can and have them removed from the game, that would be very awesome.
Especially if you have downloaded sims characters from exchange or any other places that makes it impossible to get rid of those damn shirts and boots. My CC cannot be found anywhere but in the DCBackup file, so i'm kind of stuck here with invisible babies, monster kids and men with girls chests 😂 Like bro, half the town is committing public indecency💔

PS: I have deleted CC stuff from the sims launcher, but ever since i tried deleting others from youtube tutorials, all it has done is bring the CC back into my game BUT this time i can't find the stuff in the launcher anymore.

I'd like to see a mod where a Sim with the Writer career could gain fame by just writing books, rather than waiting for a celebrity to call them. The amount of fame gained can depend on how well the book sells.

I wish there was a mod for more detailed cooking, since i LOOOVE watching my sims cook, but the interactions often repeat even if the dishes are different.

It would be difficult because it would involve editing both animations and sound but for the love of the Gods I wish there was a "always drink nectar like a normal person" mod.

For people without World Adventures (or ignore nectar/wine), there is a certain threshold of bottles drunk/ nectar making skill where suddenly your sim turns Every. Single. Glass. into a over the top wine tasting. Noisy sip, hum, loudly swish the necar, hum, throw head back and gargle, noisy swallow, smack lips, breathe out happy sigh, repeat. Just drink the glass.

(As a note, if you ever end up in a wine tasting in real life do not gargle the wine. It's supposed to mimic letting the wine 'breathe' but the winery will have done that already if the wine needed it.)

If there is a mod for this already please let me and my hatred of loud eating noises know.

To expand on that, if the culinary career had a 'profession' mode like the doctor career does. Owning a little restaurant, and have more detailed cooking interactions would be really cool! Especially if it was compatible with the bakery stuff and the habachi table stuff from theSsims 3 store.
