This song brings back so many memories of the time when I was younger. I used to look forward to every new episode because it was my favorite teen series. For me it was very good show, but unfortunately they stop it after the 3rd season ended

Yes, someone identified it in November last year. I've been following the search on reddit for a few years, and it's a really lovely story because the band members turned out to be really surprised, had no idea their song was being played, and also are really nice blokes.

I've actually never seen the movie before, but I'm going to watch it soon. Judging by the legendary music from it, which became a worldwide hit, the movie must be of the same caliber.
