Sims never recycle the newspaper. If I select that action, it will end up in their inventory, where it stays until I sell it for $0. This has been present since I first installed the game a few years ago and was present when playing just the base game with no mods. Happens in every family in every world. I made sure the lots have a Recycle Me! or Hefty Recycle Me! present (if it matters); otherwise, the regular garbage can is always available.

Steam version of the game - v1.67. Cache files have been deleted many times.

I've searched online and haven't found any other reports of this happening. Something I'm missing here?
