They've made themselves vulnerable by making the advance, and its rejection can be devastating. For the person that rejects them, however, especially if they are good-looking and popular, the rejection can be a triviality, forgotten within minutes.

For which the memory can be green. However, just because they rejected them doesn't mean that they won't remember it or think of it later. Maybe they did the rejection because they felt unsure themselves in that case the rejection memory could be red. They'd wonder if they shouldn't of accepted.

IIRC, Mary Sue Pleasant rejected Daniel for a first kiss, but of course they do end up together ... so rejection isn't always cut and dried

Is there a mod that makes the OFB displays work as shelves and not just for OFB sales? Like I can put something on it and my sim can pick it up to use, or I can put perfume display on it on an unowned community lot and my sim can actually buy from it?

You're right @CaliBrat! I often play gay teenage boys in (usually) successful relationships. (They're usually successful because, to be honest, my game is idealistic and utopian.) But if another boy had made a serious gay approach to me when I was a teen, I'd almost certainly have rejected him. I'd have done so because in those days I thought homosexuality was wrong, and anyway it was illegal. But afterwards I'd likely have regretted the rejection, especially if the approach was from a boy I really liked. I'd wonder about what might have been. Romantic interactions and feelings can be many-faceted, and it's wrong of me to over-simplify things.

It's almost true that my Sims made me gay! They certainly helped me to accept myself as I really am. Andrew in Veronaville lives a life that I now wish I could have lived. But the moral and social climate in modern Veronaville is much, much more open and accepting than it was half a century ago in Scotland. Of course it's much better today, but even now I don't see real teenage boys openly kissing each other in the street the way that Andrew and his friends do. I fear it's literally true that I live my love life vicariously through my Sims!!

All Sims are beautiful -- even the ugly ones.

Seconded. Up until my late teens, if I ever did have a gay Sim couple, I wouldn't save. (What, out of fear that my parents would search my computer? One of them doesn't even know what a computer even does.)

One day, I just decided to develop my own RL character a bit further I guess, and I saved the game with a gay couple there. That was sort of one of the things that really started me becoming more open about my sexuality to myself (or at least, the more important part - be less and less ignorant and homophobic towards other people living their own lives).

OFB, earning tips related idea. A mod that mimics SIMS 3 earning money tips - sim can perform music, sing, do fire performance...while audience sit and watch the sim who performs. The money tips earned would depend on how many sims watch and reacts positively to the performance.

P. S. I wish there was a way to be able to put TIPS JAR on any distance on the lot when sims perform for tips (like actually separate the jar from the sims, it doesnt have to be near the sims when the audience give money tips).
