Very sensible I think!

My sims usually end up bumping into each other at some point anyway, so I've never used that mod. But I can "Mark" sims in SimPE to teleport them if I need to.

Though, I think a teleporter would be great in real life, consider what it does:
A) It clones your physical form into data to send it to another machine
B) It recreates your physical form based on received data at the other machine
C) It disintegrates your previous body at the old location.

So in a way, you get a whole new body every time you use it, it's great!

It's all fine and dandy until the pattern buffer retains your information and beams it back to the original location. Then there are two of you, Will Riker! Or if there is a failure of the matter transference beam and you don't get rematerialized and are lost forever. Or worse, are held in subspace where you are both dead and alive at the same time in a ghostly limbo. Or, what about that time the pattern buffer got corrupted, and the resulting rematerialised people were so deformed they died soon after in agony? And don't even think about foreighn matter contamination of the pattern...

Yeah.. but think of it this way: Every day you're climbing under tables, desks, etc etc to wire (or un-wire!) computers, bending in awkward ways to achieve it - how many times are you left thinking "Aw me back! I'm getting too old for this holly!".

With a freshly materialised body you be good as new in no time, instead of your body being a thing from the past, it'll be a thing of the past and you'll have your new shiny one to live in! :D

And just think, instant international travel! You can travel from your penthouse in london to your cozy cottage in iceland in no time at all! Heck, you could even put a teleporter at both those houses, so you can have a dump at your penthouse, find it stinks too much and just teleport to your cottage to escape the smell!

Pretty sure your telomere caps are replicated too, so your 'new' bidy would still be old. For us, anyway- but for sims? They could have a whole new teenage body if they so wished!

When I used to watch them using the Transporter in Star Trek, I used to wonder how many failures they'd had before they got that thing to work. Which is why, as a total newbie in TS2, I didn't want to entrust my beloved new Sims to an unknown teleporter!

I use the teleporter that comes with the Insimenator mod (spawner, looks like an open box). Works like a charm, and I don't need any extra mods I don't already have

The version I'm using also has an inbuilt teleport function, so sims can teleport around on the lot. Very handy (especially for slow sims and for picture taking, because sometimes it takes too long to wait for them to walk across the lot).

Teleporting would've been quite useful in real life, at least if it was safe (it doesn't sound very safe, when you really think about it).

Would you really want to be a teenager again? Mood swings, thinking you know everything about the world while knowing very little at all (lack of life experience), poor decisions, getting arrested, having to sneak out for booze, being anti-establishment while not knowing what the establishment is, etc. It's just not worth it.

For teleporting around a lot you don't need a mod at all, just get them to do meditation for a while, and eventually a "teleport" option will appear along side walk/run/skip/fly/spin/hop to here.

Gregory Montgomery became an elder and with Lorelei Montgomery days away from becoming an elder herself, they finally took their first family vacation. This is the first time since their marriage in uni that they haven't had a baby in the household.

So far, Lorelei has gotten sunburned, been struck by lightning in the rock spa, then set a fire making breakfast the next morning....which is when I discovered the beach house didn't have a smoke alarm and it spread and destroyed some cabinets in her BIL's beach house that I had to replace from their funds. This poor woman has suffered so much

I did my semi-millennia clean-up of my main cemetery lot. I move all the graves to the lot a few days after the sims die because ghosts annoy me, but don't usually load the lot, so very occasionally, I have to go in and move all the graves into the cemetery near their families instead of where they're dumped on the lot edge. There were like 50 this time, including pets.

I found a few graves that should belong at the Fort Bluewater War Memorial lot because they served in the military, so I had to send a sim to the lot to move them. So Elise Larson decided to take her paranormal career LTW knowledge boyfriend Tucker on a date to the cemetery to make out (and technically disinter a few bodies).

While they were there, Brogan Hart and her husband Manuel Hernandez both showed up and I decided they were visiting the graves of their first spouses......Until Brogan decided she needed to go greet Elise Larson while she was making out with Tucker in the Salvatore family plot where Elise's grandparents and great-grandparents are buried.

Oh, and then Beatriz Martinez and West Castillo-Schweber got into a fight in the chapel. West is in aspiration failure because his grandmother just died, but her grave is actually on a downtown cemetery lot, not this one. And just as I thought that, it occurred to me that I sent her grave there because I thought I would have put her downtownie husband's grave there, but apparently not. Since the fight made me think about it, I was able to move his grave to reunite the couple! And West won the fight.

Ugawd, nobody's got time for that - it's faster if they eat breakfast first, then take a slow walk
(Besides, pretty sure toddlers, babies and kids can't teleport that way, so would be quite useless for my purpose)

For my story sims, I tend to set them to "active" 7, because then they can run around. Somewhat faster than walking, if I for whatever reason don't need them to teleport
