mdsb759 You could ask Origin for the Ultimate Collection- they are still giving it out to people with at least one disc, if you ask them nicely.

From how he mentioned it, I think he specifically wants the disc version. I know I'm sticking to mine - though if the UC ever got released on Steam for ten bucks, without requiring Origin, I'd be sorely tempted.

I don't need to be on Origin to play, I did need Origin to download it but once downloaded it doesn't require Origin to play it, if that makes a difference

Sims 4 requires Origin but Sims 4 Sims 3 doesn't though it does keep complaining "not connected to Origin" well duh, that's by choice plays just fine anyway

I dislike Origin as I keep hearing about updates that mess stuff up. I only go on there if I have to and since I don't play Sims 4 anymore (I tried it... ) that is very rarely I go on it since Sims 2 and 3 don't require it to be on.

have heard about Ultimate Collection for some time now. my main reason for not wanting it is it not being compatible with AnyGameStarter.

I think it's possible to put .exes in for the missing ones if AGS is what you want.

Never got the holiday packs when they were first released, only when I upgraded to UC. Never used anything of it and probably never will.

I'm not really into celebrating Christmas with my Sims (or new year's or halloween or anything else but their birthdays, graduations and weddings.

alljol, tell me more? I would love to get AGS working with UC. Windows 10 does not like my discs.

Yes I have the Holiday Stuff it was included with my base game, The Sims 2 Holiday Edition. I really love it and always use it for the different holidays time like Halloween etc.

I think their is actually 3 different holiday themed games I heard were released. I think Happy Holiday stuff is the more recognized one. But I heard their was a base game as mentioned by @Simonut

AND, I think just plain "Holiday Stuff Pack" or party pack was the one I think that was forgotten pretty much because it didn't include as much as the Happy Holiday Stuff pack. does anyone else remember what the plain Holiday Stuff Pack gave us I know it was not much from hearing about it in the past but. It did come out before Happy Holiday Stuff pack. and yes some of the one I found on Youtube are region locked but as clones of the Happy Holiday Stuff. but their was another one a smaller one I think can anyone else remember Youtube has no answers.

I think all of the holiday stuff was included in UC. I haven't noticed anything missing. The snowman radio is there.

At least some (possibly all) of the clothes are missing. The toddler Christmas pajamas are the major ones I can think of.

I know the santa claus clothes are there.

The reason some clothes are missing is due to the Skins package UC uses, so now that I think of it, it probably only affects clothes that are painted on the body and not those that have their own mesh.

If your talking about the Santa glitch, it happened to my once when I added the Happy Holiday Stuff Pack to my previous install. I never had Holiday edition nor the ultimate collection. but windows 7 does have a problem with the Happy Holiday stuff pack CD. I found better luck to add Happy Holiday Stuff in Pack before playing the sims 2 if that is what you're refering too. I know someone mentioned the glitch earlier it was due to a windows flaw not the game itself.

but yea, there is some objects the first pack callled Plain Holiday stuff pack gives but I never owned that or holiday edition.

I LOVE the trees but hate how, in the Sims 2 world, Christmas lights may as well be open flames. Also, I've never tried to get Santa to come over with the UC. Does he still exist in it?

Just stick a sprinkler above the tree and let it go, sure there will be fire and panic, but that's half of the fun IMO.

I have the holiday pack and do try Santa visits, but my sims have some small living quarters so usually only the wealthier sims can afford a tree as they have the space.

However I try not to have the tree too often. Not after the damn thing caught fire and nearly took 3 sims with it. That tree requires Constant Vigilance!
