Today, I have an interview with an employment agency connected to the NJDOL. It's an intake interview, so I am nervous.

It became increasingly obvious that it could be be denied no longer...I am smol...(4'11"...I am shorter than my mom now, but not by much...)

I am currently setting up and mentally preparing for the interview. They have yet to send me the instructions as they said they would send it via email. (I am on a zoom call again.)

Update: I passed through what was needed and now they're sending a bunch of forms to sign through Adobe. Good thing my phone has a stylus.

I was a little worried about giving my cat her medicine, thinking of all the ways I could try to inconspicuously administer it to her.
But apparently she thinks it's a treat and happily takes it.

The day I had, December 9th, 2025?

It was okay.

I got my chores done for the most part, had a chance to watch a Japanese superhero show (Shout! Factory is known for bringing the original Super Sentai Series, the basis for Power Rangers, to America, but only 15 of the 48 completed installments were released in subtitled format on DVD. Hasbro has been holding back because they not only hold the rights in the outside Japan territories, they also don't care much about it.)

I also had a baked potato mash of sorts (think of a partial mashed potato plate), but I ended up falling asleep.

I also did more accounting and earmarking for my future I dream of. Money may be part of the tools one uses in life, it can temporarily buy you a happy thrill like a favorite meal, but that's about it.

As for me? I am dealing with a sore throat. It's been very itchy. Also, my sinuses are clogged.

I hope I don't have to reschedule my dentist appointment. But if I must... It would free up my appointment to get my next interview done.

I made tteokbokki and it was a disaster. I put too much water in and ended up draining almost all the water which was supposed to be the sauce.

The rice cake part of the dish turned out fine, just a little seasoned, but was chewy.

I am still learning to cook it.

Otherwise, I took a nap and played a few missions in Miitopia in the Traveler's Hub.

Currently working on a cash stash for the foreseeable future.

My father said that any money I earn caring for the house would be vital during the world situation of trying times.

Then again, he took the advice of switching back to cash to have a better grasp on the situation of how money works is actually something he learned from David Ramsey.

He's a financial advisor who actually made sense about cash, because if something is tangible, you can actually control your spending better if you know how much is spent or remaining. You may significantly spend less, IIRC, about the tune of 20%.

For now, I just need to work on the dishes from cooking and cleaning up the crack in my front tooth for the Tuesday appointment. My teeth have soft enamel and unfortunately, no matter how much brushing, I can't keep my smile normal.

Man, I feel like I got run over...

I don't think I will be going to the dentist tomorrow morning.

I still feel sick with whatever respiratory ick my father brought home from the factory. I lost my singing voice. I am a mess.

Went to the doctor and was given the Z-pak... azithromycin to be clear.

I am currently on the first dose I took last night, due to how my father brought it home after the night fell.

I am busy preparing for the afternoon interview with the employment agency the NJDOL recommended to me.

Today, when I was at our rancho, the neighbor’s cats visited again, and luckily I had my phone with me to take some photos of them. The tuxedo cat was friendlier than last time. The other cat in the photos is “Grandma” (the oldest one), almost 10 years old and mother of the tuxedo.

Tuxie gets grumpier during winter, maybe because her fur gets a little static charge, which makes her nervous. Maybe the static charge is because to the unusually warm and dry weather in my country over the past month. Grandma doesn’t have a winter coat, and her fur stays almost the same. She is way friendlier and loves to be near people. They are outdoor cats after all.

I survived another interview.

I finally signed my preliminary paperwork.

For now, I am happy to say I am another step closer to an office job from home.

I might consider spending my first check on a bottle of Anti-Monkey Butt. Weird name, but it's an anti-chafing powder and if it works, it's not stupid.

Pouring with rain outside, so the perfect day for staying in and working on my Christmas cake. Better organised this year: had everything measured, laid out and ready the previous evening. I was up at eight o'clock to make an early start and had the cake in the oven by ten. No interruptions, no suddenly remembering something I'd forgotten and having to dash out for it, so consequently my kitchen did not look like a bomb had hit it, as it did last year. Cake has been in for two and half hours, and already smelling glorious. All in all, a good morning's work.

Legend is history as we would like it to be. We pick through the dusts of time for what is worth keeping and, here and there, we occasionally find treasure.

Mostly sleeping on and off today.

Not much really good going on today for a Friday. Another week down in my life, another week starting anew.
