Default SimblrBirthdays
Hi,

Does anyone know what happened to all the SimblrBirthday reblogs on shastakiss' tumblr? They seem to have disappeared. The links on the Wayback Machine don't work for me. I know it says that all the posts weren't reblogged but when I was on there a month ago, most of the reblogs were still there.

Any help is appreciated

I also noticed shastakiss’ reblogs suddenly disappeared. I don’t know why it happened.
Currently I’m using the Wayback Machine to access old posts. The advantage is that you get all the posts, not just the ones shastakiss reblogged. The disadvantage is that not all pictures are showing up and that you need to edit the download links in order for them to work.
I’m using the following method to get the download links to work.

I’m going to use the download links from this post as an example:
https://web.archive.org/web/2018122...y-ilikefishfood

I right-clicked on the first download link and then selected "Copy Link". Then I pasted what I just copied into a text editor program. The whole link looks like this and doesn’t work:
"https://web.archive.org/web/20190102044257/https://t.umblr.com/redirect?z=http%3A%2F%2Fsimfileshare.net%2Fdownload%2F468527%2F&t=ZjJlMDEyNmFjNTQ4MzEyMmVjNDZmZDkxZTQ5YzkwOWMyNDM4NjYwYSxpREI4a1VxSQ%3D%3D&b=t%3Aby_bY-9ykKoAvobT2WEZgg&p=http%3A%2F%2Fsimblrbday.tumblr.com%2Fpost%2F171473488371%2Fhappy-belated-birthday-ilikefishfood&m=1"

So what I did was just look through the link until I found a name of a familiar looking file share site (e.g. dropbox, simfileshare, box, mediafire, etc.). In this case it’s simfileshare.

I had a look at a working simfileshare link to see how a working link is supposed to look like:
https://www.simfileshare.net/download/4015173/
It has the main website address/, followed by download/, followed by a number and/or letter sequence, followed by another /

%3A stands for :
%2F stands for /

So I copied and pasted the relevant part from the very long link above (I added those spaces in between to make it easier to see what I mean)
http %3A %2F %2F simfileshare.net %2F download %2F 468527 %2F &t=ZjJlMDEyNmFjNT
then I replaced %3A with :, and %2F with /
http://simfileshare.net/download/468527/
If you don’t want to do this manually you can also just google "URL decoder" and paste the relevant part of your link into one of those URL decoder sites.
As soon as you have a number and/or letter sequence that is followed by a "/" you know you have the relevant part of the address and you can delete whatever else comes after (in my case that was the extra "&t=ZjJlMDEyNmFjNT" at the end)

The exact same method also works for the alternative download link of that post
"https://web.archive.org/web/20181228193818/https://t.umblr.com/redirect?z=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.dropbox.com%2Fs%2F6n132v7ojruu0kx%2Ftr-TS2S-ufafricanwoven.7z%3Fdl%3D0&t=ZmMwODFmNjZiOTAwNzk4OWJkOTFiYTRiMWZlNDljNjVlOThmNzZhYSxpREI4a1VxSQ%3D%3D&b=t%3Aby_bY-9ykKoAvobT2WEZgg&p=http%3A%2F%2Fsimblrbday.tumblr.com%2Fpost%2F171473488371%2Fhappy-belated-birthday-ilikefishfood&m=1"

Look for the name of a file share site (dropbox in this case) and copy-paste that part of the long link into a text editor
https %3A %2F %2F www.dropbox.com %2F s %2F 6n132v7ojruu0kx %2F tr-TS2S-ufafricanwoven.7z%3Fdl%3D0&t=Zm
Replace %3A with :, and %2F with /
(Alternatively, you can copy-paste into an online URL decoder and let it do the work)
But no matter if you do it manually or with a URL decoder: As soon as you have a number and/or letter sequence that ends with a "/", delete whatever comes after that, and you get:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/6n132v7ojruu0kx/

This is how I currently do it, but there might be an easier way. This is just the first thing I tried and it worked, so I stuck with it. It's actually quite fast once you get used to it.
