Default Possible bug- usernames with period/ full stop ["."] in them...
Hey, I noticed that if I'm looking at community> recent posts, or browsing by forum, I can click on any username in the last post list to see the member's profile. The destination (hover over) link is modthesims.info/members/[username] and of course this normally resolves to modthesims.info/m/[profile number].

However, if the username has a period/ full stop ["."] character in it, the link does not get redirected to the profile number correctly. I get a 404 error.

If I open the thread and click on their profile name on the post, this links correctly to the profile number, and the hover over link shows profile number too.

This pic shows the hover over link in the thread view.

Thanks for the heads up. I've switched out references to the username with the userid in most cases except for "subforum" bits, which now link to /getmember.php?u=$username which then should resolve correctly.

Story books are full of fairy tales, of Kings and Queens, and the bluest skies.

Hello @Tahiketh
I think there is also a bug with this thread.

Generally any new thread in a forum is in 'bold' if unread (by myself) which after reading, the bold disappears until such time as the thread is updated with replies which then clears again once read.
However this thread is still 'bold' with no further replies.

I would appreciate if you would investigate.

Thank you

The "read" status is stored in a cookie, and if that cookie gets too big, it can cause issues with not being able to view *any* pages on the site. I had this exact issue myself a couple days ago, so for now I've turned off the last read cookie and will look into fixing this asap.
