Default What solutions have you found when playing the Sims and dealing with ONEDRIVE?
I overlooked my onedrive and my Sims games when I bought a new computer. I have all 4 sims games. I haven't installed the sims 1 or 3 yet. I am hesitant after seeing my sims 2 and sims 4 are using my onedrive. I was curious if anyone has mangaged to keep their onedrive while saving their sims game/mods elsewhere? I am not sure if this is even possible. How are most simmers dealing with their onedrive issues? To be honest I currently have a large onedrive storage but it would be nice to remove my game saves from my work/school files.

You can choose to exclude specific folders from the OneDrive synch. Make a safe copy of your files in a location outside of the OneDrive folders first, in case something goes wrong!

Yeah, OneDrive can be a headache with Sims games since it tends to sync the Documents folder by default. A lot of simmers disable OneDrive or move their Sims save/mod folders elsewhere. You can try excluding The Sims folders from syncing by adjusting OneDrive settings. Another option is redirecting your Sims user data to a different drive using symbolic links. Have you considered pausing OneDrive sync just for the Sims folders?
