mesh looks fine in s4s, but it looks weird in blender. and if i export it via tsr workshop, it will break or not recognize it sometimes..
Hi!! I hope this is the right place to post this. I know TSR Workshop is mostly for Sims 3, but I’m trying to export Sims 4 meshes and I’m kinda stuck.
So, I’m converting a TS4 mesh to TS2. In Sims 4 Studio, the mesh looks totally fine — super clean and smooth, both in the preview and in-game. But when I export it as a .blend, it comes out looking weird. Like, suddenly it looks low poly or like it doesn’t have smooth shading, even though it actually does. I tried fixing it with modifiers and stuff, but no matter what I do, the exported version always looks off.
Here’s a comparison:

The first one is an .obj export from TSR Workshop, which looks great.
The second is the .blend from S4Studio, it looks totally different if u look close.
What’s frustrating is that in S4Studio’s preview, it still looks good

But as soon as I export it, the shading and shape get kinda messed up. It just doesn’t match what I’m seeing in the preview at all.
I used to export stuff with TSR Workshop because it kept the mesh looking just like it does in-gamesmooth, clean, accurate. But the problem is that some packages (especially anime figure CC) just won’t open in TSRW. They break or look corrupted or something like that, here's a pic:

I’m guessing it might be the polycount? I'm not sure ToT
So I’m stuck between the two:
TSR Workshop gives me a good export when it works, however some packages don't work and end up looking corrupted/buggy in the project thing, it doesn't let me export it to blender either because it won't recognize it, since it's broken.
And Sims 4 Studio always exports with weird shading or surface issues.
I don’t know if it’s something with the format, the polycount (in TSR Workshop) or how S4Studio handles the mesh during export, but I just want to get a version that looks as clean as it does in the preview.
Sorry if i repeat myself a lot, i kinda struggle to explain stuff, but I hope it makes some kind of sense. Any help would be appreciated! This always happens to me with CC anime figures, and it’s super frustrating...
