Default GraphicsRules.sgr
Today I was reading my GraphicsRules.sgr to try to see why the game looks so crappy on my MacBook compared to my PC when the Mac has better screen resolution. Surprise- the highest graphics setting is 1600x1200. Has anybody tried changing the GraphicsRules on a Mac to get higher resolution? I also noticed that the memory level was set to 512 as the highest setting, which is massively understating what an M3 chip MacBook is capable of. Anybody out there tried making changes in the Graphics Rules.sgr on a Mac similar to what Graphics Rules Maker does on a PC? Any advice on how I should go about trying, other than the obvious "back up the original file before you do anything."

EDIT: I can't get a game resolution of higher than 1710x1107, according to the graphics option in the game, but the game certainly appears to be displaying better than that. The only changes I made were to high screen resolution (2880x1864) and increasing the memory to 8192, as I have 24 gig of shared ram. If anybody can tell me where I can increase texture memory specifically, or what the cpu levels mean, I would be grateful. How to add the video card info for my no separate video card would be awesome - it might be my limiting factor right now. The game doesn't know what my laptop is capable of, display-wise.

I don't know about Macs so yes definitely back up your original file before you do anything but have you considered trying the legacy version graphics rules file? Someone shared it here : https://www.tumblr.com/brandinotbro...om?source=share

Aha, thank you. This ends my suspicion that the video card database not having anything close to my M3 chip might be a limiting factor. Again, Thank you.
