This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3, Late Night, Seasons
Default Weird issue with roofs
I left my game running accidentally for a day and came back and now have an issue where the roofs look normal in Build/buy but are all distorted in Live mode they weren't like that when I was building yesterday it's so weird. I restarted the game, same issue. I haven't added any new CC and I checked my graphics card settings they are still the same. Anyone have any insight?

First photo is build mode, second is live. It's happening to all houses in the town.

Do you mean the texture, it looks lighter in the second image? That could just be due to the sky parameters changing through normal gameplay. Does it look like that if you start a new save in, say, Sunset Valley?

Looking at the trees, this may not be the problem. Have you tried changing the weather (Nraas' Master Controller if I remember right) or the season (testingcheatsenabled true then shift+click on the ground)? Sometimes build mode uses different weather/lighting than live mode. It almost looks like it's putting the frost pattern on the roof from it being below freezing but not snowy, which would be really weird.

Yes, this is what I was referring to- the sea/sky/light variations have been in-game since the basegame. Starting a new game in Sunset Valley will show the clear sky parameters.

Playing the game for a day or so to see if the sky changes should work too, in case pandax01 doesn't want to use testingcheats or Nraas.

Sorry for the late replies, I tested in Sunset Valley and this issue does not happen, nor in Greymont Bay or Twinbrook. Just in North Bend all of the sudden lol.

I'll Try this and report back as well. I didn't even think about it being the weather.

Ahhhhhh! Changing the weather fixed it! I changed season first, but it stayed the same. Next, I changed the weather to rainy and the roof changed instantly back to normal! Made it sunny again and let the game run for a while and it still looks normal. Thank you both so much for the help, it was driving me bonkers! Cheers!

I have no idea why the game did that but happy to have it worked out.
