Default Sims 2 Angles and Nurses Stuff not working properly?
Second Edit: I FINALLY GOT IT WORKING! Right on my last try. The quality isn’t great, but it does work.

Edit: to anyone who might be seeing this, I have found a fix for the problem below. My main concern now is that when I open game through the Sims 2 Angles and nurses, none of the content works. It’s just normal sims 2.

I should definitely make it known that I’m attempting to install it for the Legacy Edition, I haven’t seen a single thing online about anyone else doing this, so I just followed the install instructions for the Ultimate Collection. I also used the installer, and followed the instructions left to allow it to work on windows 10. But now when I press on it, I get the message that should hopefully be in the picture below (never posted a picture on here, my bad if it doesn’t work properly). I did uninstall and reinstall it, but that didn’t work, the same thing happened. I have googled this and found nothing. Help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Did you try installing Angels and Nurses instead?

Right, now I've got the smartass out of my system ...

Are you running the Legacy Collection off Steam? There seems to be a known problem with the .dll file going missing.

Some fixes here. https://www.reddit.com/r/PiratedGam...issing_problem/

Thanks for responding! Yes, I bought the Legacy collection from steam, so that might be why there’s an issue. I haven’t tried doing it manually, if that’s what you were asking. I was planning to try today, since it was pretty late at night when I tried at first and I was tired. I’ll try those fixes and see if they work. Thanks again.

Thanks for this. Unfortunately, I now have a new problem. Now, it’s saying this instead.

“ The procedure entry point Steaminternal_Contextinit could not be located in the dynamic link library C Program Files (x86)\EA Games TSBin\Sims2AnN.exe.”

I don’t even know what this means.

The error message "The procedure entry point Steaminternal_Contextinit could not be located in the dynamic link library" indicates that a program, typically a game, is unable to find a specific function (Steaminternal_Contextinit) within a required dynamic link library (DLL) file, often related to Steam's API (like steam_api64.dll). This can occur due to a missing, corrupted, or incompatible DLL file.

Potential solutions include:
Verify Game Files/Reinstall:
If using Steam, verify the integrity of the game files through the Steam client.
If the issue persists, consider reinstalling the game.
Replace/Update steam_api.dll:
Locate the game's installation directory and check for the steam_api.dll (or steam_api64.dll) file.
Consider replacing it with a known working or updated version, ensuring compatibility with your game and system architecture (32-bit or 64-bit).
Check Antivirus/Security Software:
Antivirus programs can sometimes quarantine or block DLL files, leading to this error.
Temporarily disable your antivirus and try launching the game. If it works, add the game's executable and the relevant DLL file(s) to your antivirus's exclusion list.
Run System File Checker (SFC):
Open an elevated Command Prompt (Run as administrator).
Type sfc /scannow and press Enter. This command scans and attempts to repair corrupted system files, which might include related DLLs.
Ensure Compatibility:
If the issue arises with a specific game or application, ensure that the game's executable and the steam_api.dll are compatible with each other and with your operating system.
Consider running the program in compatibility mode if necessary.
Update Drivers and System:
Ensure your operating system and graphics drivers are up to date, as outdated components can sometimes contribute to DLL-related issues.

Right, thanks. A little update: uninstalled and reinstalled A&N. I put the .dll folder from the legacy collection in, instead of the random one I downloaded. It didn’t give me an error instantly, instead, it waited a couple minutes and now the sims 2 legacy is saying that some needed files were corrupted during the installation, and I will have to reinstall it. Which is absolutely fantastic. Thank you again for your help.

Well, a small update: after reinstalling, it opened, but none of the stuff from A&N is working. I guess I’m getting somewhere.

I only just got your joke… I’m not very good at spelling, thanks for that.

Wish I could help you more, but I never tried installing T&A or A&N. I just use Chris' separated stuff, so I couldn't even tell you if it was a Legacy edition problem or if it would happen in UC too.
