Default Some hobby lots are missing
Hello everyone,

I'm playing the Ultimate's collection on a modified clean Pleasantview neighborhood that's been working perfectly so far (22 days in my rotations for all families) but I just realized that some hobby lots are missing.
I wanted to send a sim to Sue's kitchen but when I tried that lot wasn't on the list of available hobby lots despite the fact that this sim has the card ( I checked and had the same issue with another sim who also has the card and got the invite)
I have been sending sims to other hobby lots without issues so I know the hidden sub-hood exists but after further investigation it's missing 3 lots.

I tried to find a solution in old posts and the one that came closer was a 14 yo post where Mootilda (rest in peace ) was helping someone with a similar problem to mine since they had some of the lots but not all.
That person was missing some lots in the neighborhood folder of their save (...\Documents\EA Games\The Sims™ 2 Ultimate Collection\Neighborhoods\N001\Lots) but they did have them in SimPE Lot Descrition section of the hidden suburb hobby.

I used Mootilda's instructions to check everything and I seem to have more issues since the lots are missing in the Neighborhood folder and SimPE. I only have 7 of the 10 lots.
Lots 1 to 7 are hobbies as it should be but 8 and 9 are magic lots and 10 is one of the hotels. I would guess that when the hobby subhood was generated it only created 7 of the 10 lots and stopped ?

So I'm stumped because the solution Mootilda gave in that post wouldn't work for me, she said to copy the missing lots from the install folder to the savegame folder and rename them with the name in SimPE.
I have located the 3 missing lots in my install folder but since they're not in SimPE I'm obviously missing a few steps and just copying them would be useless.

Would someone know what I can do to add my 3 missing lots in my neighborhood ?

Thanks in advance for any help !

Collector's edition? Is that the new buggy edition that EA put out? To me it sounds like an EA bug and you might want to find an official thread and post about it there.
Honestly I recommend using an older edition, that you can get links to on one of the many sims Discords.

My other thoughts are,
Is every other game feature working? It could be a bad install.
Do you have an anti virus and is it set to ignore sim files? Anti viruses can quarantine/remove game files
Do you have an active OneDrive? If so remove or burn it. This thing can also wreck havoc on your sims game.

So no the collector's edition is the old one, the one we got for free because we had the old disks, also the game is working perfectly and I don't have one drive.
In any case at this point why the lots didn't generate doesn't matter anymore, the issue is how to add them to the neighborhood

Edit : ultimate's collection not collector's edition, my bad.

You mean the 'Ultimate Collection'? only I don't know of a sims 2 edition called "Collectors Edition".

if you have that you might need to repair your game. I know that was a feature of it on the EA site. It does however remove your saves so you would want to make a full back up of your entire sims 2 folder first. Saves, CC, everything. I don't know if repair is still an option as I have never played that version.

This is your current problem but it could be a symptom of something more such as why you don't have them. If it was OneDrive or anti virus you would run into more and more issues, same with a bad install.

How to add them would be to download a pack of them as community lots, (or build them) and use SimPE to change their lot type and ID. I think that might work. It works to edit existing ones at least.

Oh my gosh, yes sorry I just had a 2 days migraine and the meds made me loopy, the Ultimate collection not collector's edition duh, so sorry about that !
Also I checked and the issue is the the neighborhood template I downloaded, it's missing those lots, so much for being clean ... But other than that it's working perfectly, no issues whatsoever, I hope it keeps that way. In any case the install is fresh since I just upgraded PC, I reinstalled everything and ported my saves.

I thought about downloading them and using the SimPE method to edit the hobby neighborhood but as far as I know this only works to edit the existing lots, you can't add new ones so I'm not sure if this would work ?
