Default [SOLVED] Which Mod Stops Buying Cars Autonomously?
Hi!

Sorry if I shouldn't post here, but I wanted to know which mod makes certain cars unavailable in the game? honestly, I need into the future game, but I want to disable the flying cars -- actually I want to disable all cars so they're forced to have to buy at the car dealership I made.

I used to have it and I think it was by Nraas. I would have posted on Nraas, but I forgot my email and password and...

So now i'm depressed because I have a new computer and I can't contact anyone to let me in!

but anyway, if someone know which mod i'm supposed to use to disable buy car autonomously, please let me know!

So I'm pretty sure you can do it with Story Progresssion. With Returner you might be able to adjust the Cars XML.
I made my own because I hid all the cars in the game and made it so they only buy Fresh Prince cars. So my town looks a little better than the jalopy. I have been trying to figure out now how to replace it with a CC car.

What I don't like is when I rotate households the inactive sims buy cars, even if I left them with suitable transportation.

Those Fresh Prince cars are sweet. My sim better keep her lambo!

I'll take a look at Retuner to see if there is a nonautonomous setting for buying new cars. It probably will be by caste because I don't care what the the npc sims drive.

It's Story Progression with the Money module if I remember correctly.

I just found this quote on NRAAS

Post by CardinalSims - so maybe @CardinalSims (can help lol)

If you don't have NRaas Traffic, inactives can and will spawn free cars at will. The option to stop it is on by default, so you just need to install it for it to take effect.

And if you have the StoryProgression Money module, you can set the minimum family funds to purchase vehicles (these are real purchases, made through SP, that deduct funds).

Stereos and TVs would entirely depend on how many of those are placed in the world, and whether sims are simulating on those lots. As placed objects, the game can't spawn more of them on its own.

hahaha I care...Like I don't want my NPC's in the sloppy jalopy (although this is my favorite of the sims cars. Brings me back to my teens)
What I did was I turned all the FP Cars into a package and copied the script from the the game vehicle types and then I set some of the prices to be in the threshold of what they could buy based off income.

So like the VW bug - That's a inexpensive car - priced at 8 grand so now I have NPCS buying bugs to drive.

A lot of VW bugs driving around that's cool. I like the Renault Twizy. I have a scientist sim who drives the Twizy, and his fiancee is the one who drives the Countach.

Forgetting the email and password is always a doozy :P
Have you searched on your email account(s) for emails containing 'NRaas'? You may find one from your registration.
If you used the same username as here, you may be able to contact the site owner about it with a link to this thread as proof you're the same user. Otherwise, you may be out of luck until you recall that email address.

The previous answers are correct -
For inactive purchases, Options: Money / Options: Purchasing / Disallow Cars in StoryProgression + Money will allow you to exclude from a list of cars by their internal names.
Make sure you have the latest updates for SP and the modules, as the ability to blacklist the ITF scooters was added in the latest one

For the cars that EA grants on a whim for free, see https://www.nraas.net/community/Veh...es-To-Inactives

Just as an extra, every so often, I go to Nraas from city hall, MC> Sim> Basic> Sell Item, and clean out NPC junk. I guess that won't work if the car is parked though.

I do MasterController > Town Options > ObjectStats, and choose Global to view all items. Here you can choose cars to get rid of.

Thanks so much all of you have been so helpful!
I'm happy it's with story progression, because I honestly don't like the traffic controller, because literally, I can't control it!

The traffic controller keeps making taxi's appear in my worlds like I'm in new york and either it's not working, I can't figure out how to stop it, or it keeps making traffic with the random cars in my town.

Thank you all for your help!!

Sell Items gets rid of cars, but only in inventory, I think. I don't think it wworks if a car is parked.

The way that one with the go to all items should get rid of them all. It's not an inventory one it's global for the whole world.
You are able to remove things from the world. So things you can't remove would be world items - Like Spawners and stuff that is in the world itself.
But you can get rid of windows/doors all kinds of things following that path. Including parked cars

I go round and eliminate parking spots from all the lots in town, and I do all the other things in this thread to keep cars to a minimum. In real life, iof I lived somewhere that let me take my dogs to the vet on public transportation, and that had buses to the places I want to go more than twice an hour, I'd never own a car. So my sims don't!
