This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3, World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets, Showtime, Supernatural, Seasons, University Life, Island Paradise
Default Specific package file will not appear in game
This is not a "CC doesn't show up in my game" post. I have hundreds of gigs of cc, but for some reason, this one package will not appear in my game.

I converted an object from TS2 to TS3, and I thought something went wrong with the conversion. BUT, someone else tested the package in their game, and it showed up just fine, in the catalog and in the right category. So, it's not a file issue, but maybe something wrong with my game folders? I don't know many fixes but I've tried:

Placing directly in Mods/Packages
Clearing caches
Searching for it with the search mod
Launching without the package, then relaunching with
Testing in different save files
Running a default-only CC Magic configuration
Checking the instance names between the conversion and the item it's cloned from
Checking for conflicts using Delphy's dashboard

I even tested a different package that was new to my game, in Mods/Packages, and it loaded in like normal. So, it's not that the game won't recognize ANY new CC, just this one thing, and only in my game?? It's driving me crazy. Please, if anyone has suggestions or has encountered something similar, I would love some help.

Here's a link to the package, if needed

Is it possible that you have another mod installed which conflicts with this particular CC, and the other person who tested it doesn't? Perhaps the conflict checker you're using hasn't been able to recognise it. Have you tried running with no other mods installed but this one?

The other thing I can think of is what if your different save files both have something in them that is preventing this CC from showing up - have you tried a clean save (as in, "New Game" in one of the default neighbourhoods)?

Edit: Tried this out, it's not showing up in my game either Should be under Lawn Ornaments at 35 simoleons, yes?
I'd make double sure I'm testing the same file I sent to the other person if I were you.

I did end up finding a conflict in the dashboard, but fixing it still didn't help. I just restarted the project in TSRW with a new clone and it shows up fine now. I assume it was some cc conflict I wasn't able to find ;_;

Hi @gingerbreads

I had also tested the object in game, but unfortunately it didn't show up for me either.

I checked your creation in TSRW and I'm sure that you have to change some parameters there for the object to be visible. I saw that your object is supposed to be in the "Lawn Ornaments" section, which is located in the Outdoors section, so I ticked the "Outdoor" parameter in Room category section and removed the Residential/Community parameter, because it's not necessary - lawn ornaments are already available both in residential and community lots. When I changed these parameters, the object did show up (filtered by room and by function, both in residential and community lots).

To summarize: The object wasn’t visible because some Room category parameters were incorrect; setting it as Outdoor and removing the unnecessary Residential/Community setting fixed the issue and made it show up.

After:

I guess that @mijiturka was actually right - you've probably sent this object to this person with differences in these parameters, which lets them see it in their game, but you cannot see it in yours.

A little advice from me: You have to fix your mesh a little bit, because it's floating off the ground a bit and it's moved off center.

Thank you for the help, that makes sense! I thought I checked all the right flags were ticked, but guess I missed some ;_; And yes I've fixed the mesh and textures since getting it showing in game
