Default Place stuff from inventory on community lots
I wanna make an art gallery on a community lot, but I wanted to use sim-made art instead of buyable paintings.
I tried using the dormSpecificToolsDisabled cheat but only the buy mode unlocked, so that didn't work.
Then I tried using the buy enabler (https://modthesims.info/showpost.ph...00&postcount=48) but everytime I tried going on any community lot the game crashed instantly
Are there any other methods?

The problem is you can't save a commlot while visiting it.

You can use my Charles Object Editor for this. Go to a lot where the painting is. Place COE near the painting. Choose:

All... -> Copy Nearby Objects Into Inventory -> Global -> Select radius. Select to delete or keep the objects on your lot after copies have been made.

Now you go to a commlot. Place the COE box on the street quickly without holding it in your hand too long. After a moment it will ask you questions. Select not to spawn a townie person (it will start weather and stuff), select to take out objects from Global inventory that you placed there previously. Choose to delete them if you only want 1 copy, or not if you would like to place the same things again.

I have only tried to copy the painting while it is on an easel. I don't know if you can take a loose painting.

The easiest way to do it is simply have a Sim Own the Lot.
Have the Sim paint their own Custom Paintings and put them in backpack,
Visit and place them in Gallery. Kind of takes a while.

Every time I have a Sim Own a Store, I have them do this.
Keep an Easel on the lot in a private room to Paint Even More.

I've wondered about having Sims give Paintings as Gifts.
Has anybody tried this?

Earlier, I posted a Question about having a Car Museum.
The only way was similar, have a Sim Own the Lot.

Unfortunately I couldn't copy paintings on the wall, so I simply put the paintings on the easel with moveobjects on (they were still flying but game seemed to think they were on the easel) and that seems to work just as I wanted it to
THANK YOU SOO MUCHH
now I can have a cool art galery in my town :D

You are welcome. It will copy objects contained in anything like a desk or countertop along with the desk. I put a filter to select handlable objects. It seems that a loose painting didn't fit the criteria. So you can put any accessory inside something.

If there is a better way to do something, I'm all for it.
I will also admit when I am Completely Lost.

I Downloaded 'Charels Object Editor' and found it in Electronics All.
Or at least I found something that says No Pic.

I can't see or get it to do Anything,
Even with Scenario Tester.

What?

- OK, on a community lot I got it to ask me if I wanted a Townie,
but I'm still nowhere.

It should appear as an orange box of fireworks, or a treasure chest in Castaways. It is a default replacement for Charles Scenario Tester, which I saw no use for (hence the name). If it doesn't have a model, maybe there is a conflict or an incompatibility, which I can't guess at the moment. You can do many things with it, as described in the text file, besides copying objects.

To move objects to a community lot, you first need to copy them into a special inventory on a lot with a person using the command. Save the lot. Copying will take objects around the box within a radius that you selected on the buy food dialog. It will also enable the command "Take Out" to indicate that something is in the inventory. Don't use it at this point.

Then you go to a community lot in build mode, put the box down, and it will ask to take out those objects and place on the ground. It will put almost everything on the ground even if they need a wall. If nothing was copied, then it will not ask. Spawning a townie allows to walk around the lot and check things out. Usually you don't want to save after doing this because the lot won't be "clean". This is a separate function that you can choose to use or not.
