Default Items turn black when shifted against wall [HOW TO FIX?]
Hello! I will preface this by saying I'm aware there is a glitch in the game where certain items turn black when being shifted along the wall. I'm also aware that there are multiple fixes for maxis and custom items, but I can't find an actual tutorial on how to fiddle around in the settings myself. I have a set of futons in my game (didn't get a chance to take photos so I'll link to Katsurin's post where she discusses the same issue) and because they sit lower than maxis beds, they're black. When placed outside, they appear normal, but if placed on a foundation (or apartment) they're effected with the same lighting glitch as shiftable paintings. I'm making the assumption that the same fix would work here, so what do I have to do in SimPE to make them appear normally?
Me? Sarcastic? Never.

The fix for paintings is to lower the mesh to the floor, so you only shift up. I believe the issue occurs when the meshes bounding box shifts down into the floor below. You could try moving the bed mesh up, but that kind of defeats the purpose of the mesh. I've never seen it black like that, but usually just shadowed. For me if I enclose the room it's fine.

Oh that's unfortunate. I don't recall this always being an issue so it definitely conflicts with a lighting mod or shader. Thank you for responding, I'll play around with it.
