Default [Ongoing] - Animation CLIP Appears Blank in S3PE
Hello,

I’m working on adding a custom animation to The Sims 3. Specifically, I’m trying to convert a custom Sims 4 animation into a Sims 3 animation, but I’m running into an issue where the CLIP appears to be blank when uploading it to a package.

My understanding of the process and the steps I’ve taken so far are:

1. Set up Blender 2.79 and the Sims 3 animation plugins.Side question: Blender 2.79 is pretty difficult to use compared to newer versions. Is there any way to use a more modern version of Blender for Sims 3 animation? When I try newer versions, the imported Sims 3 rigs also seem to lose their colors/textures.

2. Downloaded Sims 4 Studio and exported the custom Sims 4 animation as a `.blend`.

3. Used the S4-to-TS3 conversion rig to transfer the animation onto a Sims 3 rig.

4. Exported the animation using the Sims 3 Blender animation plugin.

5. Opened my package in S3PE and imported the exported animation as a CLIP resource.

6. The resulting CLIP appears blank/empty.

At first, I thought the problem might have something to do with converting the Sims 4 animation, so I tested the process again using one of TheSweetSimmer’s Sims 3 rigs.

For that test, I:

1. Opened TheSweetSimmer’s rig in Blender.

2. Added a simple/random animation directly to the rig.

3. Exported it as a Sims 3 animation using the plugin.

4. Imported the resulting animation into my package through S3PE.

Unfortunately, that CLIP also appears blank, which makes me think I may be doing something incorrectly during the export/import process rather than the problem being specific to the Sims 4 conversion or general clip.

Has anyone run into this before? Is there a step I’m missing when exporting the animation from Blender or importing it as a CLIP in S3PE?

Any help would be appreciated.
