*****NOTE: This is a guide for THE SIMS 2 ONLY*****
1) Go to folder: C:/Documents and Settings/username/My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Neighborhoods/Tutorial/Lots. Copy all 6 .package files. They will start with tutorial_lot*.package (where * is a number).
2) Go to folder: C:/Documents and Settings/username/My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/LotCatalog. Paste the .package files into the folder.
3) Rename each .package to cx_000000xx.package where the xx is a number not already in use in that folder. The number after cx_ has to be 8-digits in length. So if you have at least 100 in there, it should be cx_00000189.package. (I doubt you have that many in there.)
After knowing this, you don't have to rebuild the tutorial homes or find equivalents on The Exchange. Yay!
