Default Slumdog Millionaire
Hey so I was wondering has anyone saw Slumdog? Do you think it deserves all the awards it has won?

I really enjoyed this movie. I loved all the actors, and I thought they all did a great job. I went in not really knowing what I would think. I knew it has won best picture at the oscars, and I had been hearing many wonderful things about it. I am glad I went to see it, and would defiantly see it agian.

I really liked Jamal and his brother Salim, and all the characters who played them.

Also has anyone read the book its off of? Q&A, its interesting but different.

I've seen it! It's excellent. Really different from most movies I watch (I'm more of a horror/gory or heaps of action movie fan. I really enjoyed it. It's terrible that some of things Salim and Jamal experienced when they were kids really happens!

I know its so sad.. In the book they are not brothers, but best friends, and salim wants to be a movie star. There is also no lattika, but he falls in love with a youn prostitue, named nita.

Watched it today and absolutely loved it. It's... bizarre, but really embroiling.
The soundtrack's even better :D

I agree, this movie is amazing. It deserved every single award that it got. It's sad to see just how bad the slums can be, and I was surprised that the police could torture Jamal like that.

Captain- Yeah its so sad to see those slums, but that how people live. Its depressing how they live, and how the police dont even really seem to care if your poor, like when Salim and Jamal where younger and their mother was killed they went to the police but they just shooed them away

I also really liked the middle Jamal and Salim.. But all the actors where good.

Spoilers Below ::
I loved this movie, the plotline, the kids were flipping adorable, and the music was beautiful and haunting in some parts like Dreams on Fire. I'm thinking about buying the soundtrack as soon as I get the money.

I bought it yesterday and watching it now though I'm a little mad because my dvd said it had deleted scenes but nada.

I read half of the book but I have so many books to read so haven't had time :/ I have to say I like the movie better

This is probably a stupid question. But since I'm sorry to say I don't really know that much about other people's relgion.

In the riots, the little boy (or girl) with blue paint all over, what relgion was she representing, also whichever he or she represented would that mean she/he was trying to save himself or herself or sadly, the child would face death too?:[

It was a great movie, but I think the last thirty minutes or so were what really made it spectacular. The love story coming to a climax, the circular nature of the Three Musketeers subplot, and the exceptional scene in the train station. However, I still think that Benjamin Button should have been chosen for best picture; in my opinion, it was a far superior film. I bawled my eyes out during that showing, and Slumdog Millionaire didn't make me shed a tear.

Yes, I measure the artistic quality of dramatic films by whether or not they make me cry .

Do I dare disturb the universe?

My sister thought the beginning was boring, but liked the ending. I guess it just depends of what you like and look for in a movie.

Lol, I really dont know why I enjoyed it so much! But after reading the book it was based on, I thought the should have added a but more from that into the movie, but I just think of them as two different things know, and enjoy the different stories they tell.

I absolutely love this movie. I've watched it about 4 times now mainly in the theaters. It was directed by one of my favorite movie directors. The soundtrack had a truly talented composer (note : Jai Ho also won an Oscar). MIA was also awesome on the soundtrack.

I just can't seem to get enough of this movie. The children who played the younger versions of Salim, Jamal and Latika actually lived in the slums until most recent. This movie has done a lot of good for those childrens' lives. I'm sure it also brought awareness to those who usually aren't brought into light about these types of subjects.

Brilliant movie.
