Big clunky plastic-frame glasses
Remember the '80s? Okay, maybe some of you don't, but it was not, shall we say, the best of times from a sartorial standpoint, several steps down the fashion ladder, IMO, from the previous decade. You can always tell when you're seeing an '80s show on MeTV by a) the gigantic hairdos, and b) the glasses that looked like they might weigh several pounds... which they did. The Sims 2 glasses are mostly all those wimpy variety favored during the 1990s and early 2000s... for obvious reasons. I hate them. Yeah, some folks have created Buddy Holly-type specs, some Lennon, and even some weird 17th-Century ones that are hinged in the middle of the nosepiece! But I haven't really seen the big, clunky ones like Harry Caray wore (okay, Harry's were a little off the deep end). Anyone have suggestions? As if I didn't have enough problems with my ungodly number of downloads, neighborhoods, blah blah blah... Some photos for visual reference:

The "scientist" glasses, or therapist, or whatever he's called... those are close in terms of weight, but remember he's meant to look odd, and so are his specs.
And speaking of hairdos, how come Maxis never caught onto the fact that older ladies tend to keep their hair shorter, like Ms. Wormwood's or Grandma's here? It's not good enough to just do gray recolors of the adult women's hairstyles. I have serious issues with a good percentage of the hairstyles floating around out there, both Maxis-made and CC. I mean, I get it - if you're the kind of person who's into creating hairdos, you're probably going to go for the super outlandish, Kool-Aid colored kind of creation, preferably with lots of animation. But come on - think of the plain folk once in a while, ya know? Alright, enough of my kvetching.
