I'm testing the residences, and Dina's is working perfectly. Victor's is giving me a slot error in the kitchen. I suppose it's because there isn't enough space with the countertop and the grill. However, the shared rooms with obstacles seem to be working well. Both residences are really cool; I like how cozy Dina's feels and how original and open-air Victor's feels.

While I'm not as good at building as Victor, I did feel bad for not having contributed to the buildings, so I've made a dormitory for the university. I hope you like it.

There are 8 rooms in this dormitory, since 8 is the maximum number of Sims you can have in a household and I wanted the dorm to stay relatively small.

There’s a working cafeteria, and I also added an espresso bar. In the vanilla game, baristas don’t show up in dormitories, BUT, the Sims living in your dormitory can still use the espresso bar to make themselves a coffee, or they might choose to work part-time and become the baristas themselves. That way, they can earn some extra money when they’re not attending classes.

There’s also a library with computers and easels, plus a recreation room with chess tables to improve logic.

Every room has its own phone, because in 2026 it would honestly be absurd for a dormitory to still rely on a communal one.

Okay I downloaded and tested your ormitory with 2 settings: with CC and without CC. I take my words back about not working phones at private rooms. Somehow they worked in your dorm house but I promise you they were not working in my one so that's... uh... it's kinda fine and hope it is not a mark of lot corruption.
As I expected, nothing really bad had happened, other than you covered the window by closet

you messed the floor tiles

and you put the telephone on the wrong side

Most interesting things happened about toilets. Once they occupied, they stay visible.

And dormies are often pops in others rooms and you can see this in someone's room

And maybe in your sim's room once their door is not closed

Nothing prevents any neighbor and NPC sim from visiting toilets. I placed public stall it changed nothing.

Other then that all is same for others usual dormitories. Cafeteria works as intented. Rooms despite their shape all look really comfortable and even has loggias.

Wow! I was so absorted by the library and the overall design that I didn't notice the bedrooms had their own bathrooms. I didn't know that caused bugs. Regarding the wardrobe in front of the window, yes, it does look a bit odd. XD I also usually add curtains to all my builds, so I think it would look nicer with them. It would also be better if Dina didn't use the cheat to turn it into a residence, and left it without the cheat so we can add it later.

Regarding the room phones, I don't remember right now, but it's usually best to add one in a common room. Although I do remember that when I played, I sometimes gave one to my playable characters.

Edit: Perhaps it would be better to either remove the interior bathrooms and only have communal bathrooms in residences, since the game clearly doesn't allow bathrooms in bedrooms. Or, alternatively, change the bathroom doors so they don't open into the bedrooms but open outwards. Although it's unusual, the design of that residence lends itself to it not looking out of place.

This is not actually a bug it just looks kinda odd when you see just a sim peeing in empty surrownding so it looks like a joke. We can pretend sim came up to talk to their naighbor, to have cup of tea, but for me it looks uncomfortable to see them... just peeing ugh. But I like those logic of having like a hotel-like rental to make it look much premium.
I think there is a trick to get over that to make design of the door moved with moveobjects without actual wall like that

as you see animation is saved

or like that in order to add those toilet area to bedroom at least visually.

I don't know, it looks ugly and full of flaws. xD I'd prefer something better made, or nothing at all, when it comes to indoor bathrooms. xD

Although it could also be made into a normal sorority-style house, that would suit it better than a residence, especially if you leave those bathrooms in.

I'm compiling the existing groups for living together and taking a screenshot to clear my mind and see what's missing, or if more sims or groups could be added.

I don't remember if Chaz Babybat, the sim sent by Yinepu, should live with the fraternity of rich boys, or in another area with more underground and rocker students. I don't remember if it was him or another sim who has yet to send us that belonged to the Laandgrab family. Perhaps it would be good if, now that the murderer Rowan no longer lives with Sergeant Drill, his place were taken by Chaz.

I changed Madison/Madeline and her brother Brutus Stanford again, giving them dark skin tones so they would stand out more from the rest of the Sims.

Provisional Groups:

Enigma House Factory Group

Silas Enigma, Helena Enigma, Eldric Halverne

Ahogara Group

Serena Vortix, Squeaky Ahogara, Fiebras Chryses,

Richi Boiz Group

Brutus Stanford, Chadifer Evermont, Ashborne Ravengold, ??? Laandgrab,

Richi Girlz Group

Winny Caramella, Lucienne Evermont, Madeline Stanford, Silvia Fox,

Drill Residence Group

I actually think this would look good: Chaz Babybat, Lottie Method, Sergeant Drill, Famelia Halverne

I've slightly changed the look of the now-named Lottie Method, sent by Higgen. I don't actually want to change any of her Sims, but I wanted Lottie to have a slightly cuter, pixie-like appearance look, just to have a variation. And well, I've added Eldric Halverne's sister, and changed her name to Famelia, adding an F at the beginning. xD

Shimizu Sorority Group

Misa Naka, Nana Hasegawa, and maybe some male sim with asian clothes? Or just female sims?

Android Techy Group

Kai Das, Justin Thyme, Benny Higgins, Aline Das

Party Group 1

Christian Tolley, Glorius Mum Del Campo, Myriam Ferguson, Penny Dymes, Nick Towers

Even so, if you see any Sim with different clothes or hairstyles, it's just that I'm testing it out, but it's not final.

I tried today to test my previous Small dorm for Drill with Custom Content disabled and those bar under wedding arch did not work at all... hmm... also I forgot to move ceilings from showers door openings.
I rearranged all the items in order to make everything accessible without mods at all. Please redownload.

Yes, it's funny that she's against serving the Enigmas and lives in the residence with punkish Sims. She is Eldric's exact twin, so technically she's a Higgen sim.

Then maybe some half transparent panels, huh?

Just look how they fit in colours! Bespoke design with ceilings painted! A perfect match ^_^
When not covered it looks gorgeous. Like something I might have wanted in my bathroom!

Edit: I would leave it either as a normal house, or if it's a residence, just communal bathrooms. Although, looking at it closely, it doesn't look bad. I really don't know! It's up to you!

I understand your desire to include at least one apartment block, so that if someone downloads the neighborhood and also wants to download the relevant mods, they can use those apartments. So I think it's fine to add them, as long as they've never been played and remain optional.

Yes you are right. In dormitories such things are really simple to delete. Apartments are harder in that way of editions 'cause just give no ability to delete windows and columns.

C'mon. Let me try. I really want to save this house with its premium designs. I will just rearrange few things and share you the result. If you won't like, then you can make it residential.

oh dang it. I did not change the kitchen from EA's dorm. So I think should be done next.

Here it is. I did not change things too much. Just an armchair, potted flowers and porch paving.
I added lights in restrooms as those were few and replaced one wall with those "panels". I managed sims stop popping in restrooms and attacked my active sims' one. And once I locked the door, they could not access my active sims' toilet and started to pee themselves. So I added two public restrooms at the corner.

Insimenator Selector showed NPC students somehow found a way to manage with hygiene need, but did not doo that for toilet. I tested it in just one sim day randomly selecting NPC sims and making them active.

Those kitchen was the same as in tutorial. And it was the same furniture like in "Small Dormitorium 2 with 8 rooms" from the bin. That's really sad about how EA builds turn out THAT uncomfortable. I never had any issues in those two or three EA dormitories I played so it all looked trustworthy till now. Those slot error... is that really about lack of kitchen space?

I made kitchen spacious and life much tough for residents, I.e. I deleted all counters so here are just three island tiles, a fridge and an oven. In terms some of residents decide to cook themselves they wll share same islands with cafeteria worker. Hope they won't fight. And I made three holes in corridor ceiligs which are visible from neighborhood view. As more tests needed, more ceiling holes will come. I am on my way to make chaos. Bwahaha.

Happy to see it. Okay then I change my mind about those dorm-building tutorial you suggested. It is not good enough and it is quite obsolete but I understand that player who made such tiny kitchen in terms of EA built their kitchens inside dormitories.

Hello everyone. While I continued my play with Dina's gorgeous St. Catherine's dorm, I found that sims even with fine hygiene bar are still emitting those green nasty fog. They say in the reddit that is caused by in game bug called "stinky dormies" which is better to fix with Twojeffs fix.

So I found out it was not dormies "somehow managed to deal with hygiene score". They just ignored hygiene and with those fix in your pocket they still need public bathrooms.

Now I changed Dina's dormitorium once more to place there two gender neutral rooms with showers and those panels I showed you recently. Not sure they will ever serve their meaning. But NPC students will cope with their hygiene in gender neutral reooms whereas sims from playable household could use both public restrooms and their private toilets.

I added public telephones in the lounge and near library. Because just private phones came out not enough. Oh and I found Dina also forgot about fire alarms so I placed one in the cafeteria.
It will be in your dorm houses catalogue. Playtested and ready to use.

It was me. I haven't yet sent the Landgraab Sim yet. Francine "Fran" Landgraab is still WIP, but since she's a Landgraab she'll be living in her own private residence on campus. I might make her a boyfriend or something too so she's not totally alone. But Idk yet.

Chaz looks great in the rocker group, that was kind of the idea! Since Chaz is a Babybat he's still getting his feet wet in the Gothic culture, and can be seen typically listening to the Metal station on full blast at 2AM. He's a bit of a night owl, and prefers to stay up late! He also doesn't really even want to be in College but was pressured by his uncle Rogue Babybat (found in my Plot of Land neighborhood in my siggy) to pursue academic perfection...

Btw, the term "Babybat" is a bit of a derogatory term used by older Goths to describe the younger Goths. The entire Babybat family was actually a bit of a play on it. Since we already have the original Maxis 'Goth' family, I wanted something similar in Plot of Land, but yet still different enough.

Chaz is ugh. Yeah. Those. Who is not Chad... Wait. I am loading

Ah... Those with spider and baby bat on his T-shirt. He is looking like perfect fit. He could have a bigger room from all if he needs one, because there is not so many rooms in there with place enough for stereo. Maybe cyan one?

The cyan room would be perfect for him!

Blue is Chaz' favorite colour. As for the stereo, while Chaz likes loud metal music, it might be best in terms of gameplay to not have a stereo in his room. Otherwise Chaz might get some unwanted visitations from his fellow classmates! ...They might all try to use his stereo because Sims logic.

It looks so cool, I love this residence! To be honest, even though I'd prefer marble flooring or something different from what's currently on the ground floor, the entire residence feels very luxurious. I'd love to see curtains on the windows to make it feel even cozier. It really does have a great design with the game rooms, library, elevator and stairs, bathrooms, and bedrooms. ^^

I feel puzzled. I think that placed too many toilet stalls. We also had so many stalls close to my university canteen, but do sims really need so many?

I just think that maybe to fit toilets wet area into the lounge zone better, we need a sauna to replace some of stalls?
