Default The Sims Body Shop
I never really did much with the body shop but I want to explore it. I was wondering if anyone knows where to get the latest version and what is the latest version? I have a 1.0.0.745. I unzipped my file and installed it. I am not sure if I unstalled it in the correct place... I just put it into \documents\EA Games\The sims 2 ultimate collection folder

Are people still interested in the body shop now?

If it's an installer version (?) it could be the demo version. If so, it's not recommended to use, since there were some significant changes at game release, and also several changes around Pets/Seasons. The Demo version was only meant as a demo version.

If/when someone figures out how to properly set up Bodyshop for the Legacy version, they'll very likely make a tutorial on how to do it (just like with how to install IKEA files).

Whatyou've got for the "advanced setup" (if that's your picture) is also the wrong location (don't let your game have anything to do with OneDrive, and don't install Bodyshop inside the game folder in the Documents folder).

You can do face blending in the body shop more accurately than inside the game. The sliders have more steps and there are more faces available. In the game, if you go to the sections like nose or eyes, there are not as many as there are full head archetypes.

I don't know if Body Shop has been updated significantly. I have versions for FreeTime (13.0.161) and Mansion (17.0.66) here, and both are the same size of 8,052,736 bytes.

Ok well never mind the body shop. I see that the version I have is useless. You brought up an important point ... the one drive...

I see I need to have that fixed... I cant get rid of my onedrive though. I need it for other things.

You cannot 'fix' One Drive.

You can uninstall it, but you say you need it for other things.

It's either One Drive or your game.

That's the reality.

I got rid of One Drive as soon as I got this computer up and running because I knew that if I was to run the game, I could not and would not allow another program to screw with it.

I use One Drive for other things and my game runs OK. For a few weeks it was wrecking my game after I let a Microsoft techie install the so-called Windows 10 backup to One Drive. This turned out not to be a true backup at all, but a "mirror". What it did was move my Documents folder from my C: drive to One Drive, while maintaining a "shadow" copy on the C: drive. Well One Drive is in the so-called "Cloud", but what this really means that it's on a server in a remote data centre somewhere in the world -- quite likely in Alaska -- because Alaska is cold and the computers in these data centres tend to overheat because f the volume of traffic they're trying to handle. Well, when TS2 was created, the developers expected the Documents folder to be on a local drive, and my game didn't think much of it being on a freezing server a few thousand miles (kilometres) away!! For a few weeks I tried to play by disconnecting from the Internet while playing (and therefore keeping One Drive out of reach). This forced the game to use the "shadow" copy on my C: drive, and only synchronise with One Drive when I reconnected to the Internet at the end of the play session, but this was a hassle, and I'm not sure it always worked. So after a few weeks of this nonsense, I took the bull by the horns and -- with some difficulty -- I moved my Documents folder from One Drive back to my C: drive (C:\Users\{my-username}\Documents). I did that about three years ago, and it's not caused any real problems since. For about a year I got an error message when I ran my real PC backup (using Windows 97 Backup).as it tried to back up something that now didn't exist, but after about a year the annoying error messages stopped. And I now run a full PC backup every Sunday night at 11 p.m. (except when I forget!) without any problems.

It is however annoying, when I am paying for all this storage on One Drive (it's included in my subscription to Microsoft Office 365), that my back up is only to an external hard drive, rather than to One Drive. I would rather do a conventional backup to One Drive, which would be safer as it's both off-site and (I hope) secure.

So in summary it is possible to have The Sims 2, and to use One Drive for other purposes, but don't under any circumstances allow Windows (or anyone else) to move your Documents folder to One Drive. I did manage to move it back without data loss, but it wasn't easy, and I don't know if I'd have managed it if I hadn't previously worked as an IT professional

For several years now I had a big problem with the bodyshop that came with the UC and I'm curious if others have this too:

Clothes created with it will have a low texture quality, like...visibly lower than the clothes they were created from, even if I just used to to change the category of an outfit.
