I got permission to run a 2026 MTS calendar contest.

I'm happy to coordinate entries and pictures for all games, but I only play/know how to mod for Sims 2.

So, two questions.

Would Sims 4 people be interested in a Sims 4 part of the contest?
Would someone be able to put the pictures into and make up the calendar at the end?

No interest?

Trying to get engagement in the forums can be kinda rough. I think all the fun stuff is in discord now, but I'm old and still like forums lol. What goes into a calendar contest? What sort of images go into it?

Well, if anyone was thinking of entering, there are only 5 days left. Sims 4 is severely underrepresented right now (as in 0 pics). You aren't going to let the earlier games kick your ass, are you? XD

As for the judging.

If a month has only one entry, then I presume that they win by default. Only counts for January and March.

You can vote for one picture per month, TS2 or TS3 (not both, as they'll all be in the same calendar). Just click agree on the picture of your choice.

Voting will be for one week, from today (3rd Dec) to 10th Dec. That still leaves time to actually do the calendars before Christmas.

Sorry I didn't participate after my initial rumblings, life got in the way, but I have voted diligently! And well done to you for getting this done!

Sad to say, you are on the wrong site for any positive interest in Sims 4. The nonstop negativity in this section has turned off most Sims 4 players. They are gone from here. Long gone, for many.

Well, you know- it would only take for one or two Sims 4 players to start posting nice things to change that. Also ignoring the people posting the negative things (and not feeding the conversation by responding) would change things, too. Posting pictures of your Sims 4 game would generate nice comments and be a good start. Leave the complainers to complain amongst themselves!

That does not work. I now do not even look where the nonstop negative rants are posted, and I sure do not respond to them. I have done a few threads trying to be positive about some things and there is zero interest. This section of this site is so toxic that people who play 4 at all are clearly not welcome to post here. I have seen at least three 4 people come and they were driven off. TBH 2 were totally horrible and it was good riddance, but still....

I am totally aware of the problems with 4, but it is a shame that a Sims site has zero interest in that version in the forums, and is fine with the atmosphere here. It is obvious that the site is losing traffic. Activity is down in all forums and many used to be posters are gone. Also, it is interesting that the site no longer shows how many people are online.

Well, that sounds like a really negative post to me, maybe it's your frame of mind making you see things like that. The site seems lively enough to me, in Sims 1, 2 & 3 sections (I don't often post in 4 as I rarely play it). Anyway, Charity made it clear that the contest was open to all, and we had a load of beautiful entries, so go take a look at them and cast your votes!

What I have stated is a fact, and not my frame of mind. This section is extremely negative and the few outsiders who have dared come here have stated it has a reputation for being so toxic.
A clear look shows activity is way down. Hardly any new threads, hardly any responses, and as said, the numbers no longer show, so must not be anything to write home about. Many people who used to post here on a steady basis are long gone. I pretty much come here now solely to see if by some miracle Nilxis is back? Sad to say, not so far.

Dude, no-one cares, this is a thread about a calendar contest, not a place to complain. Please go join in the negativity threads you allegedly hate if you want to carry on with that, otherwise post something nice in any of the other threads here. Or, why not go vote on your favoutrite calendar pictures?

I have some news for you. The Sims 4 is dead EVERYWHERE and the only toxic thing is the makers of the game. I love the Sims series and I am happy to still be a part of this community. I hope you can be too.

I didn't know that the Sims 4 forums were so bad (I played the game for about an hour and was so bored I never tried again lol).

I won't say that we never fight on the Sims 2 forums XD, but most of the time we all get along and numbers and involvement definitely haven't gone down.

None of the forums here are very active now but the 2 and 3 ones do not have the negativity of this section. Your wanting to do a calendar was a good idea. So I commend you for that. I will refrain from saying more in response to someone else.

I don't know about the Sims 3 forums, but the Sims 2 forums are very active.

It looks like a lot of the activity there was an absurd debate about linguistics. Yikes. What a mess that was! Sims 2 was/is a fun game. So much charm.

Oh yeah. Sometimes we like to give the mods something to do by fighting like idiots until they're forced to shut us down. But there are a lot of other threads too!
