Thought this could be a fun thread.

Idea courtesy of my issue today in which, best I can figure, an outdated copy of Custom Drink Interactions broke my game so as to prevent households from loading (I've been solely building in my custom save file project for a while now, no idea how many patch versions my household loading has been broken for at this point). Finally found the sneaky script mod in my Food folder. Definitely not a first place you'd look for broken mods capable of causing that kind of problem.

All I can say is, at least maintaining a modded copy of Sims 4 is never boring!

While in Buy Mode, I noticed some of my custom content wasn't showing thumbnails. After that, the thumbnails for other sims were also disappearing, and sometimes my active sims would have their profile images vanish when they changed moods. The game also wanted to take forever to save, so I finally just force-closed it.
Anyway, I removed a bunch of CC and slowly reintroduced it, and it looks like a collection of houseplants was messing up Buy Mode. But... sims' portraits messing up, too? It's like that one package file of decor items broke everything else.



Edit: Apparently one of the accessories I downloaded is broken, resulting in my infant turning into a cursed monstrosity. That was an unnerving thing to see upon aging up.
