Default Memory Wipe on Dormie Liberation
I "liberated" my first Dormie in the Legacy edition (ie, made her a playable Sim), and to my surprise her memory was wiped upon joining the new household. Now, 'way back in the Dark Ages this happened with the first Dormie I liberated in the original version, but I then installed some kind of mod which preserved the memories of all Townies once they joined a household. And I Liberated a bunch of them. So presumably this reversion to memory wipe is a function of the Legacy Edition, perhaps the mod I installed fifteen years ago is another one broken by Legacy. Thus the question is, does such a mod exist now which works in all the EPs, or will all my Townies have their memories wiped once again when I make them playable Sims?

What mod were you using?

Probably the InSiminator memory fix, which goes back to 2006. Right around when I started playing.

I see there is a new fix, though, in this thread: https://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=678981
As that is a 2023 fix, I'll check it out and see what happens.

Insimenator is the one I use. Didn't know there was a fix though. You may have helped me. XD

Nope, didn't work. But dropped in Alexx58's one, which is available here: https://modthesims.info/d/245542/no...ries-clear.html and it works, so that's sorted.
