Default What are your premade headcanons?
There may already be a thread like this but I'm curious - what are your headcanons about the premades?

I'll start - I have always viewed Natasha Una as autistic coded, as an autistic woman myself. The quiet, artistic, serious personality hits home to me, plus the grilled cheese aspiration giving me huge "this is my safe food" vibes.

I have a bunch, so I'll just share one I was thinking about recently. The reason why the Caliente sisters get robbed on their first night is because Gordon King has some dirt on them--possibly related to their alien ancestry and/or Bella's disappearance and/or Michael's death--and the robbery is a threat to show he means business and they should keep paying out. I came up with this because he always seemed to call a lot after the robbery. This is why Dina doesn't have any of her inheritance from Michael left and is desperate for money.

I did play the beginning of Pleasantview neighborhood through to the time when Sims 2 starts, and I developed a lot of lore for the Pleasantview/Strangetown premades based on that playthrough. For instance, Dina and Nina's parents actually raised them on an alien colony planet, and Dina met Michael there because he was abducted by aliens and brought there. There's a whole long story about why Bella was abducted and how it went terribly wrong, leading to Dina, Nina, and Bella escaping to Strangetown and Michael's death in the spaceship crash.

I was only interested in advancing their stories till their deaths, and mainly the Pleasant and Burb. The only headcanon I can think of is that Mary-Sue is a biological mother, but not a genetic one, of Lilith and Angela - she needed egg donation. That would explain why the twins look nothing like their mother, and have passing resemblances to Daniel.

Whatever implications on Daniel and Mary-Sue will never be of my concern - they are long dead in my game. If anything, I would rather clown about how John Burb have more matching facial features with Jennifer , than to her brother Daniel (the 3 all share face template 2, with slight alterations) - no wonder why their children ended up looking so good, but the girls would all have sunken cheeks as elders!

I do take requests, but only for coding.

Olive Specter (Strangetown) is not a murderer, she was framed.

I love that! I also think it's quite poetic to have both Mary Sue and her adoptive parents suffer from fertility issues and go about it in different ways.

I have always thought that Angela and Lilith were secretly adopted from another mother. Yes it would go against the memory of "having" them, but you can't argue with the obvious different looks. They possess a supernatural beauty and vitality. I haven't thought of an in-world explanation for why everyone in the Goth family looks different. "Egg-cell donation" is not something I want to have in my game as it is too invasive and technological; we don't have examples of hospitals connected to birth.

Speaking of the Pleasant twins, my headcanon is that Angela is more tomboyish than she lets on, but her parents push her to come off more feminine. Being a fishing boat captain never sounded like the dream career a preppy rich girl (as she's often depicted) would have to me.

Miranda Capp was meant to be a knowledge sim like Kent.

This one comes from my old TS3 game, and I'm not sure it is necessarily the case for my current TS2 game, but anyway: Cassandra is not Mortimer's biological daughter. Bella and Mortimer were childhood friends, and when Bella ended up pregnant and escaped her abusive ex-boyfriend, Mortimer offered to marry her and claim fatherhood of the baby to protect Bella and the baby. So they had a secretly platonic marriage for years before Bella fell in love with Mortimer and they had a more traditional marriage (and baby Alexander).

Other stuff: Dina and Nina lived in poverty as children, and Dina is absolutely determined nothing and no-one is going to drag her back there. Nina is an optimist and convinced that life will always end up happy.

Tank Grunt is gay and Buzz Grunt is homophobic.

Lola and Chloe Curious are younger than Lazlo, and the other woman in their memories is a cousin who brought them up when Glarn and Kitty couldn't cope with the idea.

I also HC a Grunt kid as queer but for me it's Ripp, she always ends up a trans woman in my game. And yes, Buzz acts as expected...

I am coming up with a few new head canons from my current playthrough. One is that Daniel Pleasant is a serial monogamist. He's one of those guys who gets involved with a woman and is so swept up that he just has to marry her, then he starts to get bored and looks for the next one. In the Pleasantview I currently have going, he's working on his third marriage.

Also, and I know this might upset some people, but Darren Dreamer is a schlub. I don't want to use the L word, but I definitely think it. He gets an easy job like gamer to pay the bills, but then he constantly rolls the want to stay home (with no secondary aspirations). He falls into bed with random women but then never calls them. He dreams of being a painter but spends his days lying around on the couch.

Brandi Broke is one of those moms who tries to be her kids' friend rather than her mother. She also relies on her kids, particularly Beau, for emotional support. She's a bit immature and doesn't have a lot of self-discipline. She stays up too late, eats a lot of sweets, and plays the TV loud at night so that it wakes up her kids in that tiny trailer. I think it's quite obvious that Dustin has been parentified in that household.

Buzz Grunt isn't actually racist towards aliens, he only hates PT9 because he always had a crush on Jenny Smith since he was a kid and never fully got over it.

Missy Grunt's mom, Mary Melons, was a lady of the evening. Missy was best friends with Kitty Hogleg so she spent much of her time growing up at the Hogleg ranch.

Vidcund Curious is the only one of his siblings who will get personally offended if someone calls them an idiot

Olive Specter isn't a murderer, she just lives near a graveyard and the Grim Reaper just happens to be an "obsessive admirer".

Ophelia Nigmos's hair is naturally straight.

Erin Beaker comes off as an airhead because she talks about weird things like psychic powers, but she's actually very intelligent and a quick learner. I think of her like a Luanne Platter with a Scandinavian accent. The only reason nobody thinks Loki's an airhead is because he doesn't talk to anybody.

Headcanons:

Brandi Broke isn't pregnant as a teenager, she is 43 in 2004, and 65 in 2026.
the reason for her abscence in the Sims 1 is she is 18, explaining the reason why.

Kaylynn Langerak is 55 in 2004, and later 77 in 2026. she looked kind of young, maybe due to some lucky genetics?
she would be 5 in 1954, which is the start of child age in the sims 3.

Ages:

The Sims 1:

Baby: 0-5 years
Child: 5-17 years
Adult: 18+ years

The Sims 2:

Baby: 0-1 year
Toddler: 1-5 years
Child: 5-13 years
Teenager: 13-21 years
Y. Adult:/College Student 18-21 years
Adult: 21-65 years
Elder: 65+ years

The Sims 3:

Baby: 0-1 year
Toddler: 1-5 years
Child: 5-14 years
Teenager: 14-20 years
Y. Adult: 20-36 years
Adult/Middle Aged: 36-60 years
Elder: 60+ years

I forgot my headcanon for her (also from my old TS3 game): the Kaylynn Langerak we see as a child in TS3 is not the same person as the Kaylynn Langerak in TS2. The first Kaylynn Langerak died in tragic circumstances, and Parker Langerak later named his daughter after his dead sister (which is a bit weird to me, but made sense for Parker's character). Kaylynn the younger ended up low contact with her family after various relatives expected her to be just like the original Kaylynn.

I hope it is still okay for me to respond to this thread. I never played Sims 3 or Sims 4, so my Sims life and story is based off of Sims 1 and Sims 2, which is the true and original stories, not whatever was concocted in Sims 3 and Sims 4. Here are the headcanons I have for some of my Sims I am playing.

The Goth Family-
I played Sims 1 and I never felt the Goths were equivalent to the Addams Family (I love the Addams Family). I always felt that their family started making their fortune during the Gothic Period, which is why they are called the Goths (such as: the Newbies are called Newbies, because they are new to town). Anyway, in my story Mortimer created the Elixir of life, Thinking Cap and Smart Milk. Cassandra is trying to find her way and become her own person. She lives in the shadow of her parents, as much as she wants to be like them, she doesn't want to be referred to a Mortimer Goth's daughter or Bella Goth's daughter. She just want to be Cassandra. But, it was harder than she thought after all it was their prestige and name that afforded her the opportunities and comfortable life she has. So, she entered the Science field like her dad, although she doesn't have what it takes to be an inventor or a mad scientist. She wants the same loving marriage her parents had; so she fell in love with the town casanova, which a lot of people are questioning whether she is naive or just desperate.

Lothario Family-
Don Lothario wants love and money. He is the epitome of 90's TV Doctors. He is an opportunist. He joined the medical field, not because he actually care about medicine and helping people. He knows that the ladies love doctors and it will help him build the wealth he wants. He wants more money than what he will get working in the medical field; so he tried to seduce Bella Goth in hopes of getting his hands on her fortune as her boytoy, but she rejected him. Which he did not think will happen; he also didn't know that her logic skills were high enough to get abducted by aliens. He became a suspect in Bella's disappearance, to him bad publicity is better than no publicity. He still wanted some of the Goth's fortune, so he decided to go after Cassandra. He and Nina Caliente are soulmates but he doesn't want to be tied down to her or anyone unless it comes with a hefty fortune for him to inherit. Don fools around with the local maid but unbeknownst to him, she has her eye on Daniel Pleasant too; she is also an opportunist. Will Don clean up his act? or Will he get played? Push comes to shove he can always try to seduce Denise Jacquet, a wealthy widow.

Caliente Family-
Nina and Dina are the hottest and most available women in town. Dina is a fortune sim, who is widowed. She just wants a comfortable and secure life. The only way to have that is to have money and lots of it. The only way to acquire that much money is to marry into wealth. She doesn't mind working as long as it doesn't include actual work. She just wants a trouble-free, care-free, poverty-free life.

Nina loves romance. She wants true love, but doesn't think she can have it. She and Don are soulmates but she knows that he won't give up his woman chasing ways. She wants Don to be hers and only hers whether they are married or not. So for now, she flirts and make out with Don and settle for home dates him. She is looking for someone to commit fully to her, even if she doesn't fully commit back. She doesn't mind working a little, she doesn't want to owe anyone or rely on anyone. Like her sister, she loves money but loves romance more.

The Broke Family-
The Newbies never had children in any of my Sims 1 gameplay, so Brandi is adopted. Brandi fell in love with Skip at a young age. She was blinded by love and never really thought about the future. Brandi was always optimistic. Skip loved that about Brandi, he worked really hard and did anything for Brandi, but he was still struggling financially to support them. So they did some underhanded things to make money. Skip did not want that type of life for his family, so he changed his ways. His luck started to change when he took a job at the architecture firm. Unfortunately, he drowned in the family pool he was building, before his financial situation became better. Brandi fell into deep grief and doesn't know how to get back on track, or how to help her grieving teen son, Dustin. Dustin is now the man of the house, but he doesn't want to be and he doesn't know what to do. He just want to be a teenager and he wants his dad back.

The Pleasant Family-
Mary-Sue as a child was always serious and a perfectionist. It got worst as she got older. You see, Mary-Sue feels that she has to prove herself to others. Mary-Sue was adopted by the Oldies, she feels inadequate because her birth parents did not want her. So, everything in her life has to be just so, going into politics is another way for her to prove to others that she matters and that she is important. Daniel fell in love with Mary-Sue's go-getter, perfectionist persona. But, as time went on he became bothered by it. Daniel never wanted to get married, it was Mary-Sues idea to get married.
Daniel and Mary-Sue started off well. After Daniel moved up in the ranks in his career, the plan was to have one child because both their careers would take up too much time. Unfortunately, they ended up with twins which threw a wrench in their plans, especially Mary-Sue's career plans.
Daniel kept moving up in the Athletic field, which kept him away from home, so Mary-Sue was often alone with the kids. They could not keep up and the second child (Lilith) was often neglected. This frustration they had, was sensed by the children and it strained the relationship between them. As, the girls got older Angela felt if she did everything right, her parents would be happy again. Lilith understood that it wasn't her job to make her parents happy, they are the parents and they are supposed to take care of her and her sister. Angela felt that if Lilith just play along, everything will get fixed. Lilith refuses to do that. So, the sibling rivalry worsened between them.

Daniel is misguided and confused. Daniel realized that his dad never followed his dreams because he was raising a family instead of focusing on his dream. So, he was determined to not let that happen to him (he started seeing family as an obstacle to his dreams). Daniel became selfish over the years, only focusing on his career and neglecting his family. Now, he is having a mid-life crisis. He is close to elderhood and his career is coming to an end. He was always the popular, top-ranked, local athlete. Who will he be after he retires? Will he become just another forgotten athlete, like the former great, Carlos Contender? Will he just be reduced to a family man? He wants to be young again, he wants youthful love and romance back in his life and the only one willing to give it to him or make him feel young is the homewrecking maid. Mary-Sue is now more focused on building her career, Daniel got his chance to build his career, now its her turn. What will become of this family? Will Lilith and Angela make better choices and create the family they longed for?

The Burb Family-
John and Jennifer fell in love in their youth. The bright lights and liveliness of SimCity influenced them to move there as young adults. They started a family, but John tired of the city life and wanted to go back to his roots. He and Jennifer are exactly like his parents, she loves the city like his mom did; and he now despise the city like his dad. As unhappy as Jennifer was about leaving the city, she understood that living in Pleasantview will give her a chance to reconnect with her brother and his family. They moved back to Pleasantview with their daughter, Lucy, and are now rebuilding their life, while growing their family.

The Landgraab Family-
Malcolm II had passed the business to his son, Malcolm III, and retired. So, Malcolm III was president of Landgraab Enterprises at the time of his death. He became obsessed with power and money; he gambled the Landgraab fortune and company funds. He also made backdoor deals with shady sims. His greed and corruption caused his and his wife's early demise. Upon the death of his son and daughter-in-law, Malcolm II found out about his sons illicit activities. Since, he now had to raise his grandson; he sold all the businesses (Landgraab Enterprises and Bluewater Village Micro Mall) and paid off his sons debts, etc. He spent his life raising Malcolm IV, but he never told him what his father did and how he almost tarnished the Landgraab name. Malcolm II left the house and the remaining fortune to his grandson, Malcolm IV. Malcolm IV is determined to restore the Landgraab name and legacy, he used some of the money to purchased The Electronic Supercenter and he purchased a lot and built a venue called Club Dante. He is on his way to making the Landgraab's name great, again.

The Oldie Family-
The Oldies are originally from Bluewater Village and still resides there (Mary-Sue and Cassandra met while attending private school). They are the oldest and longest living residents in that town, they seen it all and heard it all. The are loved and valued by everyone in Bluewater Village, they are everyone's parents and grandparents, everyone goes to them for advice and good food. Herb use to work at Landgraab Enterprises. He befriended and worked along side Malcolm III. He was sadden that his friend fell into darkness and wished he could have done more to save him. Herb was an executive at Landgraab Enterprises when Malcolm II sold the business, and he stayed on staff with the new company until he retired.

The Tinker Family-
Stephen and Wanda met in college, they are both playful and they love toys. Wanda's family owned the toystore, Tykes Tower Toys (which is why she has a higher toymaking badge than Stephen). They wanted a large family but running the toystore became more of a priority, so they only had Melody. The plan was to keep the toy store in the family and pass it down to each generation. Unfortunately, they lost the toystore because it became too much for them to handle and they really could not afford to hire employees. So they are starting from scratch and rebuilding the toy business, one toy at a time.

The Jacquet Family-
The Jacquets are from France. Yves and Denise loved to cook and bake and wanted to make their mark in Culinary in France and they did. Later on they decided to start a family but struggled until they had Gilbert. They spoiled Gilbert and dote on him, as he is their only child. But as they got older, Yves and Denise wanted a more simple and peaceful life, so they relocated to Bluewater Village, SimNation. Once they arrived, they opened a bakery where they can share their French desserts, as well as other European desserts. Yves became ill and passed the business on to Gilbert before his death. Gilbert with his mothers help runs the bakery. Now, Denise sees the error of her and Yves way of spoiling Gilbert, because he is super sloppy and super lazy. So now, she has to whip him into shape in order to keep the bakery afloat and to turn him into a proper man.

I don't have any headcanon for The Dreamers, The Kims, The Ramirezs, or Florence Delarosa; at least not yet. That's all for now. Happy Simming!

Once I started playing those "beginning of..." neighbourhoods I developed a ton of headcanons/fanon about how many of the premades grew up, and what their deeper family backgrounds were like.

Like, Victor Goth met Gretle when he was in "the war" oversees. After the war she was left stateless and he met her at a facility for displaced persons, where they married, and he took her back to Sim City with her. Bella's family is a line of excentric witches and warlocks who trace their origin back to the Byzantine Empire, where they were court magicians (my avatar is my version of Bella's father). The TS1 Generation of the Pleasants (so Jeff, Diane, and little Daniel and Jennifer) lived at the military base near Strangetown before moving to Pleasantview after saving enough money and Jeff was promoted. Michael Bachelor's first wife was Melissa Roomies. Heaps of stuff like that.

But if we are strictly speaking the ones that are alive in the standard neighbourhoods that come with the game, I also have several:

Nina Caliente is the rare type of Romance Sim who actually wants to spend their life with just one partner they are truly in love with...and unfortunately for her the person she wants to be that partner is Don Lothario.

The reason why Dina attempts to become a trophy wife to old, rich sim men is because while intelligent, she lacks confidence in her own skills and her ability to make it. This is because she was largely ignored by her mother, who got along better with Nina. After her engagement with Mortimer ends in disaster she finally decides to stand on her own feet and becomes a lawyer.

Dirk Dreamer likes older women once he grows up (and I often marry him to Dina Caliente)

As I like to say: Angela Pleasant is NOT a "meangirl". She and Lilith are just reacting to their sub-par home life in different ways. Angela's interest is to avoid conflict, and to be good, and bring home good grades so that her parents are focused on praising her rather than fighting with each other. She's under so much pressure she could scream. This causes her conflict with Lilith, who is all about provoking her parents and so they don't get along. One reason Angela is with Dustin, and why she comes over to his house so much is because, unlike her family, the Brokes display obvious love for one another.

While she loves her family, Cassandra yearns for an "ordinary" life, away from all the dust, tradition, and eccentricity of the Goth line. (I usually have her find it by marrying Darren Dreamer)

The reasons the Oldies, basically, don't have a dime to their name when the game begins is because they lost their savings in a telemarketing scam.

YMMV on the last one, but General Grunt genuinely loves all his sons, but just has no idea how to relate to anybody but soldiers. He eventually realises how harsh he comes across to his sons, and tries to do better from then on. He's still a jerk in other aspects though.

Lilith is the way she is because Daniel is abusive, and Angela isn’t really the golden twin but just isn’t abused as badly; neither one of them have ever really been loved at all.
