Default Bodybuilder mesh neck shading issue (pics)
Hi, I’m making clothes for a bodybuilder bodyshape, and I noticed that quite often these bodybuilder meshes have a neck that is too large for the head. Also, the neck shading looks strange — it appears flatter and brighter than the head texture.

I managed to fix the size issue pretty easily in MilkShape by moving the vertices slightly inward so the neck connects better to the head, but the neck still doesn’t blend properly with the rest of the skin. I tried using Align Normals and Cat’s Normal Smoother, but I can’t get the shading/color transition to smooth out.

What else could I try to fix this?

If you import in a different outfit and then look at the neck, you'll see that the one you've got is too high up. The face mesh and the neck of an outfit connects about in the middle of the neck, not directly under the chin.

Use another outfit/mesh to adjust your neckline, and make sure the Normals match (Extended manual edit can be used).

https://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=179177 <-- follow the shoe tutorial (use another oufit for this, the quickest to extract is the "--bodynaked" mesh (af/am/cu/etc.)

Also make sure the joint assignments match in the gap between the two meshes.
