I'm looking for something that apparently isn't that easy to find, or perhaps doesn't even exist. There are plenty of mods to expand household limit, but I'm looking for quite the opposite.
I hate it when my Sim visits a friend's house to find 8 household Sims cramped into a tiny 2-bedroom condo. I was hoping to find a mod that limits household size to the number of beds available on the lot, or perhaps to a user-defined limit that could be customised for the lot in build mode. Has anyone seen something of the kind?

I believe MCCC does this, it should be under gameplay settings on the computer! You would probably want to tweak other settings too, because I know my sims like to adopt 15 dogs in a tiny house LOL so both pet adoption and human adoption you'd want to edit/limit too.

Thanks a lot for your answer! I use MCCC (couldn't imagine playing without it haha), I had never thought of using this feature with a lower limit in mind. That could be a great option indeed.

I really don't mind having large homeless households or 8-people party living in huge mansions with enough rooms. I guess such a feature (adapting household size to number of beds on the lot) would be both too "niche" and complex (if not impossible) to configure.

I know sims 3 could count beds (my horrible memories of playing home designer then getting in trouble cause the client had 6 kids in a 1 bedroom house LOL), but I don't think sims 4 can unfortunately. I've been looking around, and it seems like a complaint that a lot of people have, but there doesn't seem to be a mod for it

Some people are claiming if you have For Rent it does BETTER at counting bedrooms, but in my experience it still seems to be a little crazy lol. Hopefully someone makes a mod like that, I think it would be super useful!! But I don't think one exists currently
