I think that in a few more sessions it will be publishable. ^^

I am so sorry I missed your tag back in September. I've even been on MTS for Sims 4 mods and it didn't show up in my notifications. I just picked up where I left off with my Service Area/JSO combined hood, came back to this thread to see how you're doing and saw you tagged me.

If you still need a play-tester, I'm happy to take a look. Since I'm playing all the households I've got all their info organized in a notes app, so I think I've got a handle on their stories and who's related to who.

Also, thank you so much for the screenshots here!! After working through all the Service Area families, I'm about halfway through the JSO families (I play each household for one season and then move on to the next) and the family screenshots are filling in some of the blanks I was wondering about. I love love LOVE their interwoven stories and as I play, I'm developing more of how I want their stories to continue. You are so amazingly talented and I can't thank you enough for sharing that talent with all of us.

Thank you very much for offering to try the new version! And thanks again for you lovely words ^^. I've added so much that it's likely I've forgotten something. Your notes can be very useful to rescue things from old lore that I may have forgotten!! Pass it to me! XD Also for having new ideas.

It is likely that in a few days I will upload a Service Area test. The last thing I did was add the memories of the deaths of the new ancestors. xD Things are already quite advanced. I also have to review the new family relationships very carefully.

You're so welcome and yes, when you upload it I'll take a look around! I can only imagine how much more there is to keep track of now lol so I'm happy to help you double-check.

And I'm sorry, I think I wasn't very clear about my notes. Let me show you what they look like. I keep notes on each household in a program called FlashNotes. I pulled all of the info from SimPE - their ages, personalities, jobs, hobbies, etc and then I use their interests to calculate their secondary aspirations (Lord Crump's calculator). While I do write notes on where their story is at before I move on to the next household, I'm not sure any of its helpful beyond my own need to keep track? If it turns out it is, if you wanna download the program FlashNotes (it's free), I think I can send you my database. Otherwise, I just meant I have a pretty good handle on the households so I feel confident I can help you with double-checking details.

Also, SPOILERS IN THE SCREENSHOTS for anyone else reading this. Don't click if you haven't played

With so many characters and new events, it is a job that would require months. So it will be something that I am going to tweak over time, but without beating myself up about it, since for me it is very complicated and would delay the upload too much. But I am trying to make it as good as possible. Today I'm going to spend as much time as I can reviewing family relationships and then I'll go on to kill ancestors. This way the neighborhood will be "playable" and "uploadable" and the few memories that are missing to fix, I can do it with Simpe. So your help with the test will be greatly appreciated!!! Tell me anything you see wrong, any detail always helps.

About your notes, that program seems really useful! I think I'll give it a look and ask you for your setup ^^ It's going to be very interesting to read, because Service Area and Jeans Shaker Oasis are created with everything in my head almost without takin so much notes and sometimes I forget things, but it also allows me to be more creative. But maybe starting to use programs like that can be a good way to start organizing myself better.

Yes! I can totally do this! And yeah, I can see how trying to go back over everyone's memories would take so long. That's a LOT of work. I can tell you that you've already got 99% of it correct. I think I've only seen a couple where I realized one memory should go before another. Now that I know more of the story, I think I have a better understanding of memory order so I'm happy to send you feedback.

What I like most about FlashNote is that you can set it to "Always on Top". Since I play in Borderless Windowed mode, whenever I switch to another program, it minimizes the game so I only see one program at a time. Very frustrating when I'm trying to write notes, going back and forth between programs. However, with it set to "Always on Top", it overlays the game instead. Much easier to take notes as I play when I can see the game at the same time. :D

Edit: I wanted to double-check, do you want me to review SJSO 2025 Test1 (NoCorrectNames) and SSAR 2025 Test1 (NoCorrectNames) now, or did you want me to wait for the one you're working on now?

I'm glad that you understand the story better, I have tried to tell everything in Jeans Shaker Oasis and Service Area, since at the end of the day the sims are a different context from television and sometimes telling and giving the player answers is something more accurate than not hiding so much. I was waiting for this point to come where the chronology might be more understandable to people, so you could help me with the order of the memories. XD And it seems that adding ancestors has been a good idea to make everything more understandable.

Even so, if you want to gossip a little, I'll leave you with this version, you'll be able to see some interesting spoilers. xD But as I said I want to spend a few more days editing until testing. One thing that would be nice to know if all the family relationships appear correctly, I think I edited them all, but I'm not sure if I forgot anyone.

SSAR with awful wolf

Squeeee, spoilers!! Thank you! I accidentally played the neighborhood backwards lol. I started with Service Area after hearing about it from SpringSims and only found out about JSO later. So, I made JSO a subhood, finished playing the families in Service Area and am now working my way through JSO. I just got to the Ormans and now I'm like "Ooooo, the plot thickens" I've gone through the snapshots of the last update you posted here (SJSO 2025 Test1 (NoCorrectNames) and SSAR 2025 Test1 (NoCorrectNames)) and just those snapshots made their story make a lot more sense. You're doing a great job. Just have the Rosales and the Toledos left and I'll have played all the families in both neighborhoods as of your last release.

Just let me know when you're ready and I'll get on it.

As I said, the memories require a few more sessions. I'll probably also edit the Caravan Park Apartments a bit so that it's more optimized together with the rest of the buildings. I'm happy because even though I've had less time during these weeks, I've made quite a bit of progress and I feel like this is almost uploadable! xD Trauma has her normal nose because I've edited some faces a bit and I still have to fix the genetics of the entire neighborhood. Trauma is the only one who has a non-genetic nose. XD

SSAR Redux Test2 (AliveAncestorsNoCorrectNames)

Alrighty! Just downloaded it and I'll start going through things this week. I'm so excited to see the differences and the new ancestors! I'll keep notes along the way - do you want me to DM those to you?

I just moved Markus Automotive into the Caravan Park Apartments so I'm excited to see the changes you've made. And bless Trauma. That poor girl...her poor nose and especially now seeing her lineage

I've been editing more relationships these days, it's gotten to the point where the whole neighborhood knows each other. xD I'm thinking about downloading the extended family tree mod so Tender and Shadow appear as Trauma's relatives. But I'm wondering if the extended family relationships would appear even without the mod for people who don't use it. If not, I can recommend the mod, but I'd like to know. I can also run some tests if no one confirms it for me. xDD

Anyway, I think I'll sort through some more memories and start killing ancestors. I know this is like the fifth time I've said it, but now I really feel like this is almost finished. I'll keep a close eye on the results of your test, @Dellaluna, but if you still need time, don't worry, I can update the upload anytime I want. Let's see if I'm talking too much or if I actually update soon. xDD

So sorry I took so long to reply! Had a thing this week happen and only just started today. I'm going alphabetically and I've got some stuff on the Automotive family to send you that I'll DM after I write this. Lol, things are already juicy.

I think without the extended family tree mod, those relationships won't show up. So maybe just recommend it? If you install it and then save the neighborhood with it in there, I'm not sure what that will do to the save for anyone who doesn't install the mod. Maybe you can just have it in, see if it's showing the relationships you want, close without saving and then delete the mod.

The other day I wrote all the community lot descriptions xD. I don't know why it took me so long to do so; I guess I put it off until later and it had become a standard. I also added four more townies. Some might think there's no need for more townies. But I assure you, I managed to make all four interesting. xD

Creating AI art for Service Area is quite fun xD. If I fix that cactus a bit, it really is a pretty creepy painting worthy of Madame Zirconia.

As always, I'm continuing to sort through memories, and I'm also editing some biographies, especially those of NPCs. I'll see if I can update them soon. I've seen some YouTubers want to play the neighborhood, and I wouldn't want them to play the old version. lol
