I accidentally broke my laptop and now I'm in the market for a new laptop. It's annoying how unlucky I am with technology.

Had a thought (good), did some research (good), regretted my life or at least spawned a new fear lol (very bad).

I think I just ended a 10+ year friendship. I've been telling him for 6 months now that what he's doing is absolutely wrong and I can't just glaze over it, and for some reason he does not (or refuses to, I honestly don't know at this point) understand and tries to justify his actions because "his feelings" and with illogical reasoning.

Sorry, but acting out of feelings is only justifiable up to a certain point.

Was supposed to have a night off tonight from my casual job, but as I was about to leave for the day yesterday, they informed me that they had someone called out sick, so I’ll finish at 4 and be back at 6 and probably be finish close to 10pm

Ended up having to wear a pair of runners to work today. I normally wear steel capped boots because it’s safer having them when working in a kitchen, but the insoles have worn out that much, that every time I move they rub.

Really don’t want to spend another $250 on a pair of boots 😭

"Register within 30 seconds!" it said. Now those 30 seconds turned into an hour because the verification email just doesn't come at all.

Checked spam, tried both my main and secondary email, nothing. Quick problem search landed me on reddit where someone had the same problem and the mail came 2 weeks later.
I guess I might get 8 verification mails in a couple weeks.

All I wanted to do was message someone about an apartment for rent because I really have to move out of my current place ASAP for my own sanity. I almost broke down over this dumbass issue.

Never thought a dirt road would be the place where I slip and fall because of a thick ice sheet. It's been a couple days now and my knee and shoulder probably aren't as fine as I thought.

I have an injured foot and my mother and I have been at each other's throats.

It's been a complicated relationship, but once I get my own place, I will cut her out of my life.

We don't see eye to eye. I fall asleep after a rough day and I find myself running a dishwasher twice...

Too little sleep between some night shifts, plus being woken up brutally yesterday (and not being able to go back to sleep) from loud drilling in the next room over...

Oh, and a bad cough. Should've expected something was afoot it when I sneezed up a storm this weekend...

But other than that, not too much to complain about. Finished some projects I've had stacked away since I was a teen (I used to buy a lot of needlework projects, and small-ish project bags that came with instructions and various materials, where you put them together with needle and thread, some glue, and a whole lot of patience). Night shifts are golden for this, because I don't have a lot of other distractions between rounds, so I actually have motivation to finish up the projects.

Just when you think you can hide from crackheads by avoiding online BS, real life crackheads find you instead.

For the past few days I've had a Jehovah Witness pounding on my door. When I don't answer the door, she knocks longer and harder as if that is going change my mind.

There is the asshole solar panel sales person who really thought I'd believe his bullshit story about how the panels he wanted to install on my house would be warranted for life and would be completely free. This is how these people scam the elderly into loans of many thousands of dollars while knowing that said elderly people can't afford the $50,000 - $100,000.00 loans. Those loan amounts don't include interest which is typically through the roof.

I had to threaten said asshole in question with calling the police to have him physically removed from my property as he refused to leave.

My phone died, it was the land line. I called the phone company. They said it wouldn't be fixed until next Tuesday. In typical Verizon crackhead fashion, the problem wasn't from my end, it was their busted lines that they refuse to replace. There is job security in applying patches and band aids instead. Phone works again...for now.

Then there is Target. I put in a delivery order this morning. I called the store I placed the order with 3 times this evening, they hung up on me all 3 times. Then when I called the fourth time and spoke with some other chucklehead, he gave me the phone number of other people to call. Those people claimed my order would be delivered by 7:00 PM. It is after 7:00 PM with no order in sight just as I figured there wouldn't be one.

Target owes me money now. I have a choice. Call the d-bags back tomorrow or report Target to my bank for taking my money but refusing to deliver my stuff. I'll figure that out tomorrow. I can't wait.
