Thank you! I literally never made vegetarian sims just because the names of the vegetarian meals annoyed me, and I didn't have the patience to go into the files and change the strings. Now my sims can be vegetarian again!

these names seem much more appetizing and immersive than "vegetarian [meal]", and it will probably make me cook vegetarian meals more! (in the sims, because i cant cook)

THANK YOU. I've been wanting to do something like this for a long time.

I'd like to make a recipe replacement mod for this, too. Lemme think on it.

The names of the vegetarian dishes always bothered me, and I seldom make vegetarian Sims because the food just sounds unappetizing. This mod will change that. Thank you

Do the ones that are named as being made with mushrooms (like the cheesy mushroom melt) use the mushrooms that came with Supernatural? There are so few mushroom recipes, it would be nice to have more.

They don't -- it would be cool, but that's beyond what I know how to do. This mod is just a renamer.

I love making recipes that combine expansions ingredients, store stuff, and even custom. I know that Twinsimming made avocado for example. This is even better because I don't need to do any meshing or textures . I'm terrible about taking on too many projects, so I can't say this'll happen fast, but I can reuse the recipe-replacement code from my plantable wheat mod, so in theory it's not too bad.

Hmmm. So, we don't have portobello mushrooms. What would you think of "Truffles in Steak Sauce?" That seems on theme for being a luxury meal. (Also, we really should have had portobello mushrooms. Grump.)

Also, we of course don't have heart of palm. I'm trying to think of there's a suggestion of an ingredient we have that has a similar feel. 🤔

ETA: I looked up alternatives to seafood, and the best suggestions were heart of palm (which you used) and king oyster mushrooms (which we also don't have). Suggestions for substitution for heart of palm that might be useful were bamboo (which we have by Icemunmun https://modthesims.info/d/555310/gr...3-02-2016.html)) and cucumber (which is a store ingredient but probably intended as a substitute in salads rather than cooked meals). Icemunmun also made chickpeas, tempeh, and seitan(https://modthesims.info/d/574882/ho...-18-5-2016.html) One possibility might just be, "Mock Lobster Thermidor." Mock lobster can be made out of a few things, including heart of palm and mushrooms.

Truffles sound good! I'm hesitant about "mock lobster" because that's sort of similar to what I was trying to move away from with this mod, though.

I thought that mock lobster was a real thing, but I was thinking of mock oysters. You're right -- heart of palm is totally what it should be. There just aren't any EA or custom ingredients anything like it. If nothing sounds right, it can stay as it is with the EA recipe.

I think that might be best -- I appreciate your having looked into it so thoroughly, though!

Thank you for this! I'm not vegetarian but I do a decent amount of meatless meals IRL and this oversight always bugged me.

First. THANK YOU!!! I love this mod and the idea behind it (I'm all about cooking and gardening). But I wanted to tell you of the issue I found. This mod with the CC Loader v2 (not the douglasvega one) causes an interesting glitch. If you travel to France, Egypt, China, University, the mod plants and objects get an error message and are subsequently deleted from my garden and inventory. That goes for the Recipes as well.

I removed your mod for the sake of gardening and cooking. But, it is a great mod. And I enjoyed it while I had it. The names were always the thing lol

Huh, that's odd. Do you mean that the plants and objects added by CC Loader v2 are deleted, but only if my mod is also installed? Does it happen even if you don't use the matching CC Loader recipes for my mod?

Since I'm not entirely sure how STBL files interact - would this work with Cinderelli's Cooking & Ingredients Overhaul?

I haven't tested them together, but as far I can tell there shouldn't be a problem!

Thank you. It seemed okay, but you never know.

Edit: Seems to be working and I love it!
