Default My Game Keeps Crashing
I was playing with a new household and in the middle of renovating her home, my game crashed. When this first happened, I just ignored it and tried to repair my game through Steam. I managed to load into the main menu, but when I tried to resume, it crashed on the loading screen. So I tried removing some of my mods, but it keeps happening. I tried to repair again and it's still happening. I even tried moving my Sims 4 folder to my desktop and then opening the game so it could create a new one, but as soon as I add my tray files, save files, and mods back, it still crashes. I'm also not getting lastexception files when it crashes, if that helps. I didn't save my first lastcrash.txt, but I saved this one. And I'm hoping someone is able to read it and help me pinpoint what is causing my game to crash.

The first thing you should always do is remove ALL mods and test again. If the crash does not occur with all mods removed, then the issue is being caused by a mod. I can give you the steps to narrow down which mod is the culprit if you need them.

If the crash still occurs without mods, keep mods removed and make a new save. Close the game, then reopen it and try to resume the new save file. If you can, something may be wrong with the previous save file you're trying to resume, like a corruption. You can try selecting the Load Game option and reverting that save to a previous version, but there's no guarantee that save is salvageable. If you can't resume the new save, you may need to back up your files and do a full reinstall. Then add back your saves, tray files, and mods one at a time to figure out where the problem started. This is tedious but unfortunately necessary.

Okay, thank you. I'll try this.

How do I know what mod is causing the problem? I am experiencing the same issue

This is called the 50/50 method. It's tedious, but it's the best way to do it.
First create 2 folders on your desktop. Name one "untested" and the other "clean." Then follow these steps:
1. Take about half of the mods in your mods folder and move them to untested
2. Run the game and see if the issue is still occurring
3.A. If it IS (the mod causing the issue is still in the mods folder), move the mods in untested to clean, then repeat
3.B. If it ISN'T (the mod causing the issue is not in the mod folder), move the mods in your mod folder to clean, then repeat by taking half of the mods from untested and putting them in your mods folder
If done correctly, you will eventually narrow down which mod causing the issue.
