This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default old town subhood
I'm still working on trying to find and install my subhoods. Old Town is next. When I downloaded it, it didn't download as an rar (the stack of books), but it looks like a document. I'm dumb, so I stuck it in Ep three, the neighborhood. It doesn't show up.

I know it's me. What did I do wrong?

Does the file say ".rar"?
(If you don't have files set up to show the full name with the file extension, you can right-click and check with "Properties --> Details" what kind of file it is).

The "Stack of documents" is just an icon. If you don't use WinRar, the Rar file icons look different, or will just look like a blank document, because the computer doesn't have it associated with a program (The "stack of files" icon means the program is associated with WinRar). The archive files don't lose their properties just because they don't have their usual icons.

If you have a preferred program you want to open zip or Rar files in, you can right-click the file and choose "Open in...", select a program to open it with, and then tick "Always use this app for this filetype".

If you put an entire unopened RAR archive in your game (no matter where), it doesn't do anything. You do need to unpack it first.

There seem to be multiple versions of that hood, by different creators, so no idea which instructions you're following. I'd say read the instructions again. Main hoods usually go in Documents, Shopping district goes in the install OFB location, Downtown in NL location.
(According to this version, anyway - https://kalisasims.tumblr.com/post/...owntown-for-ts2 )

I was using Marka's from here. He says it's up to date. Maybe something happened to my win/rar program. I'll redownload. Thank you :3
