This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3, World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets, Showtime, Supernatural, Seasons, University Life, Island Paradise, Into the Future
Default No Added Coworkers (and Boss If Possible)
Hi everyone, does anyone know if or where I can find a mod that stops my game from adding coworkers.

I just hate that when I give my sim a job (ex. Business Career), and there's 1 or no sims with the same career, it forces unactive unemployed sims to join the same career. Sometimes it forces townies to join as well (which is fine), but eventually they quit because the game forced them to be either a Singer, Acrobat, or Magician. Once that happens, it either forces another unemployed townie, or resident sim to join the same career. Anytime the number of coworkers drops to 1 or none, the game will always add more. I basically want my sim(s) to have no coworkers added (or boss if possible) like sims with a part-time career.

(I've removed the added coworkers before, but it doesn't matter if u do, eventually the game will either add them back, add different unemployed resident sims, or townies - that'll eventually leave to be showtime performers.)

I already tried to see if I could stop or change the number of coworkers needed with Retuned mod & I couldn't find an answer.

I am not sure how that will work out, since a lot of careers actually have the performance requirement to get along with your co-workers. And if you have none, well... that's when the game engine kicks in and fills the gaps. There are also opportunities that give extra relationship with your boss and such.
Let's face it: A workplace needs X people to function. You cannot be employed, if you have no boss, no? Then just go self-employed.
Yes, it is annoying, if your trash can digging neighbour from one day suddenly is your boss the next, but unless you immediately want your sim to jump three career ladders, it is what needs to happen.
And I totally agree that the stupid people-leaving-for-performer-job thing is ass. It is immensely stupid to see your former Law Enforcement career boss sing at the corner of a grocery store.
That brings me back to the point above: Law enforcement career requires you at all times to get along with your partner. If you have none... I am not sure how the game engine will react to that. It needs to fill that gap.

You're right, I forgot about the performance requirement to get along with co-workers. I just wish the game would at least only add 2 co-workers (which is required). If you have 2 and you lose only 1 or both, the game will unfortunately most likely add 4. And depending on the number of unemployed sims you have in your game, now you most likely have no unemployed sims because they're forced to have the same career as your active sim.
I was hoping it could be done since unactive resident sims don't have a boss or co-workers (unless you're playing as them). - I've checked with NRaas Master Controller mod

I need to dig a bit through the NRAAS careers mod. Maybe it has something for that. I honestly only have it for homeworld uni functionality, so I never delved deeper into it.
Have you tried turning the game included story progression off and see what happens jobs wise? I never tried that.
Should be in the options menu roundabout the same place where you can turn off memories (which you absolutely should) and all that nonsense, iirc.
Theoretically it should prevent all that job changing stuff from happening. But it will also disable things like immigration, etc., so it will affect your game in a lot of ways, some of them negatively.
If that helps your issue, you can try and add some of its functionality back with e.g. NRAAS Story Progression mod, which gives you more granular control. I won;t be able to help you with setting it up, though, as I am not using it due to mod conflicts. I rely exclusively on the built-in story progression.

I haven't tried that, honestly, I prefer keeping ea story progression on - I love it. I don't like NRaas Story Progression.
