Cannot Log In on New Phone
Hi. I hope this is the right category (I didn't know whether it should be filed under this or technical- if I chose the wrong category please move it to the correct one). I just recently got a new phone, and when I try to login it says there was an "invalid" login so an IP address lock is in place. I followed the steps to reactivate my account, but when I put in the activation ID it sent me it said it was invalid. I tried again several times, but none of the codes sent to me worked. I then followed the same steps on my computer and it worked just fine and accepted the activation ID. But when I tried again with my phone, it gave me the same thing about an "new login" being "detected on your account" (so I know it's definitely just my new phone, as I tried it again as soon as I got it to work on the computer, meaning it is virtually impossible for someone else to have tried to login to my account before I tried again- it was literally a matter of seconds).
I am at my wits end and don't get why it accepts the activation ID on my computer but not my phone (likewise, reactivating my account on my computer did not unlock it on my phone- so I am writing this post on my computer since I can access my account there). My new phone is a Pixel 10 (not a pro, just a regular old Pixel 10- I previously had a Pixel 2). And it seems odd that it should have a different IP address than my previous phone as I haven't moved recently or anything.
I really do not want to provide any more information here (like the IP address) as it's personal stuff I obviously don't want everyone to see. If someone can provide me with a way to do so privately, however, I will gladly provide whatever is needed (including screenshots).
Update: Not sure what I did, but I just got it to work somehow. This post can now be deleted (it wouldn't let me do so for whatever reason).
