every plumbot i make has a human face!
hello, i've been playing this game for so long and creating plumbots on many occasions. however, this time whenever i try to create a plumbot, in CAS it looks completely normal, i can choose their face normally, but in the live mod... it looks uncanny (images below) it must be a glitch, i assume? i have no idea how to stop it tho. can someone help?

That's kinda crazy! It could be a mod causing that, although I can't think of one. But perhaps the easy thing to try first is to unistall, then reinstall just ITF.

@Krowokwiat
Are these fixes that we suggested worked, because you didn't said or reported anything?

Can you post a mods list? Because as parts go, Plumbots don't even have heads technically. The head is listed as hair. I've done A LOT of work on Plumbots, and never saw this.

hii everybody :D

i decided to actually do something about it - i felt bad asking you all for help, when i haven't actually checked my mods (and i should've, in the first place).
but the results i got are weird...

my first test run without any mods: every new plumbot i created finally started looking normal again; yet my old plumbots still have their sim faces
i thought what the hell, but started checking every single mod i have anyway, one by one: new plumbots still looked normal, old ones still got that extra flavor.
i finally got to the last mod on my list, thinking "this must be it, then", but.. new plumbots still looked normal. how does that even make any sense?

so at the end i tried playing with my mods one more time, loaded up my current save, and again, when i create a new plumbot, it looks like a real bot, but the old ones that i made before still have their sim-looking-faces. i tried customizing them multiple times and still, nothing changes. so, i guess it's just part of their charm now lol.
just to be extra sure, i tried creating plumbots on a completely new save, and they're coming out normal as well.

i know it's not a satisfying answer, i know the problem hasn't been actually solved, but i guess i'm happy with what i got

There is nothing wrong about asking for help And congrats for finding the issue yourself!

In case you want to get rid of these bots after certain time you could create a copy of them and add progress with cheats.

But still it would be a good measure to share a list of your script/core mods, because this issue can appear after a while again.

If you want to get rid of the "human" faces, save your game first... then, if you have Nraas MC, using shift (hold) left click, take the bot into Sim CAS. Change it's hair, and the head should disappear. You'll have a bot with Sim hair and no face, because bot heads are listed as hair in CAS. Take it to Plumbot CAS and add back a head. Sim hair should be replaced by bot head/ hair. If that doesn't work, just reload from the save you made before starting this, and no real foul.

As I said, I've done a lot of work with Plumbots. This face is intentional...

All 'headless' sims do actually have a human head that is just hidden by their special outfit script. If something breaks their outfit, you get a bug like this.
Removing the occult status with MC and re-adding it may trigger a rebuild the outfit if editing in CAS is not enough. You can also try DebugEnabler, click on City Hall, and run Fix Invisible Sims - which fixes corrupt outfits.

This goes for all headless occult who have a 'hair' head (PlumBots, SimBots, Mummies, Imaginary Friends) and special sims like the Grim Reaper.

Might've been bad CC - such as incorrectly flagged for Plumbots and valid for random, which might explain why the issue stopped if the new bots did not roll the bad part.

As I have far more mods in my game than any sane person would, it's entirely possible one or a combo of mods causes this in MY game, but using "Fix Invisible Sims", again, in MY game, adds every outfit category to Plumbots, which they should never have. This happens on EA bots, as well as my Femmebots. So, the OP may also need to use MC> Basic> Remove outfit, and delete all except everyday for his bots.

I've made a note to test if I can recreate this issue, and if so I'll submit a bug report

I've had this happen for years. But, as I noted, it's what happens in MY game when using "fix invisible sims". I have far too many mods and know it , and anything can happen when you do what I do! It could be a freak combination that never happens to people with a normal number of mods.

OY! Also there's the KW factor, that could be causing the Plumbot outfits in my game, which I know Nraas doesn't get involved with, so probably don't dig too much.

In this stance , its rather Fears instead of wishes I used to get , straight in the face yeah lmao, nowaday A.I is everywhere already and now even in the game, they want human face c'mon....Well like the OP, I ended up to give it, but Iv' changed the black face.... The glitch occured when I 've done a Total Reset town with Mastercontroller and while I went on CAS with that glicth, Iv' checked any tab of CAS, and Plumb tab but not any CC like eyebrow or hair was found....I dont use any mods related to ITF or plumbot. Im<pretty sure the fkling culprit is that Nraas dresser

It could be Dresser mod, but I can see from the screenshot that your bot has an vampire occult. Idk if the things will come back to normal if you remove the occult (NRaas Overwatch > Occult > Remove).

Btw did you bot acts like a real vampire?

Did you try what I wrote above, to try to get rid of the Sim head?

It's funny for me, as I spent a lot of time and effort in making Plumbots that look like they have Sim faces. but whatever is going on here, is something different, as these are Sim heads.

I've seen a glitch where a Plumbot gets a decendent that looks like a regular Sim, but has bot motives. I've seen when using Fix Invisible Sims creates outfits that a bot shouldn't have, and they may have a flat black body and a swimsuit!

Another thing to try would be to go into Plumbot CAS and choose one of the EA preset bots, then remake your bot from that. An FYI, Nraas MC will go to Plumbot CAS if you use Advance> Edit In CAS. If it's a regular Sim, it goes to Sim CAS.

> Unfortunately I didn't save any Plumbb preset since it's my first time with them, I meant playing with a plumbob haha

EDIT : Problem solved, the issue was caused by this mod , now its updated everything is ok
