Another one who likes way too many to make a top ten:
Chicago
Interview With the Vampire
Sweeny Tood
The Never-Ending Story
--one of my fave movies as a kid
Moulin Rouge
The Ring
The Crucible
The Land Before Time
--another one of my fave movies as a kid
Event Horizon--yes, it's a bad and slightly stupid at times sci-fi/horror, but I liked it and it always creeped me out a bit.

And a bunch more which I'm forgetting at the moment.

Also, ones which I really like (but not exactly faves) and either own or would want to own:
Signs--yes, it has it's stupid moments, but I really liked a lot of the concepts and ideas in it. Plus those two kids are some damn good actors for their ages.
Stargate--Yes, once again it's a bit of a bad movie, but I liked it a lot as a kid, especially because of how in-depth and detailed they became with creating the alien Egyptian-inspired culture. I've always had a bit of anthropologist in me, so I can be a bit of a sucker for stuff like that.
The Exorcism of Emily Rose--it actually is kind of boring in a few parts, but I find the idea of trying to tie together a supernatural story with a courtroom drama interesting. Not to mention that it is genuinely creepy in parts. Plus, I was very impressed with the actress who played Emily. This scene is my favorite in the movie, and showcases just how well she did:

Interesting fact; according to the DVD, they used as few effects as possible throughout the movie. IIRC, they also said that they didn't use any make-up or special effects in this scene at all (besides the one bit with the camera, and that's more editing than special effects), this was all from her acting ability!

Green Hornet. It's the only action movie I've watched with my mom in which she didn't complain about the violence in action

Weell...

The Resident Evil movies (up until the 3rd, I never really payed attention while I was watching the 4th),
The Harry Potter movies,
Inception,
The Haunted (1999, I doubt it's one of the highest rated movies out there but it was the first horror film I ever watched),
Dead Snow (best Nazi Zombie movie ever),
28 Days Later,
28 Weeks Later,
The Little Mermaid (don't ask),
the Star Wars trilogy,
and the Star Wars prequel trilogy

are movies I wouldn't mind watching again and again.

A tie between Into the Wild and Howl's Moving Castle. I adore them both.

I have way too many favorites to list all of them, so instead I will list my favorites from the horror genre, as it is a genre that I enjoy, but am very picky about:

-28 Days Later
-Nightmare on Elm Street
-Fright Night
-Night of the Comet
-Bram Stoker's Dracula (though Keanu Reeves's performance was underwhelming)
-The Ring
-Interview with a Vampire (it's pretty light for horror, but I enjoy it)
-Ammityville Horror

The first four I listed are my absolute favorite horror movies, but I'm quite fond of the others and there are probably some I forgot to list. Overall, I'm not that into gore, but I love creepiness and psychological horror and vampires when they're done right.

In Keanu's defense, he was playing a wimpy milquetoast to contrasts with the seemingly virile and sexy Count.

Other movies I could watch over and over
Star Wars (all of them)
Jaws
Exorcist
Ever After
Titanic
Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Apollo 13
Drop Dead Fred
Dirty Dancing

Hmm, I don't really have a favorite movie that isn't animated. I love Howl's Moving Castle though. It's genius and heartwarming. Second favorite would probably be Coraline. Tim Burton is epic.

It doesn't matter if I'm a prince, king, or a nobody.I'll always be your knight who watches over and protects you, because you're my one and only princess, Alice.

Tim Burton had nothing to do with Coraline. Henry Selick directed it. (James and the Giant Peach) He and Burton did work together in the past (The Nightmare Before Christmas), so I guess there's a reason their visual styles are not so dissimilar.

There are a lot of subtle differences- that's not to say it couldn't possibly be in Burton's wheelhouse, but it's a lot less "gothy" than what he normally does. (not like that's an inherent bad thing)If you were to watch some of their films back to back, you'd start to really see the differences pile up.

That said, I think I'll take the stick out of my ass now.
