Awesome. This means we can start making our own Vacation Worlds again, without having to make them default replacements. Although I admit it will be neat to visit Bridgeport for fun, too. XD

The possibilities with this are huge. I always have to wonder, why does the best Sims 3 stuff come from players (and for free) instead of from EA?

TS2 and TS3: Where adult sims potty train their toddlers.
TS4: Where adult sims make Angry Poops.

Which game is made for the juvenile minded?

Necroing this thread since this mod is officially out of beta as of today Just as I was about to break down and install the beta, lol.

Jaime Jolina from Sunset Valley is now happily vacationing in Bridgeport... game assigned her a lil apartment way up in a high-rise as "base camp", quite apt for a hotel room with kitchenette. Planning to take her clubbing... hopefully she'll meet Mr. Right! And teaching her mixology while she's there

Yay, I'm living in Barnacle Bay and taking a trip to Charlton Island right now, enjoying the quaint town's charm very much. EA must send a "Thank you" note to Twallan with the WA Savior Arward.

Gotta love this..."Attempting to use this mod without having World Adventures installed may have bizarre results, you have been warned."

Yay, Twallan, fixer of worlds.

It's in testing here: http://www.the-isz.com/nraas/index....ed-2011-sep-06/

He warns that the mod is experimental, and could damage your save-game. He also asks that you report your findings to him.

Do you know if there is another way to download this, like with simfileshare or something??

Twallan's legacy lives on at NRAAS here: https://www.nraas.net/Traveler

The only thing I wish is that Traveller is less fiddly (like a lot of NRAAS mods), which can take you out of the game and make it seem like you're just dealing with the typical NRAAS array of menus, rather than the sims themselves being ones moving. And maybe some interactions like the Uni moving mechanic where your sims gets a suitcase and climbs into a vehicle before the world switches.

But water under the bridge, and the mod itself is a technical feat, doing what EA couldn't do.

Maybe you could bring this up directly to the modders at NRaas as a suggestion. There are users over there who are still updating the mods.

Traveler uses the exact same menu as the one from World Adventures, though. They get into a car and the load screen starts after they drive away just like any other vacation.
(Also that Uni mechanic is from TS2, not TS3)

Unless you're referring to the many steps necessary to change homeworlds, but that's not what this (14 year old) thread was about :P

thecardinalsims - Cardinal has been taken by a fey mood!

One thing I wish EA did with the travel system is to set-up an interface for sub-worlds that is more akin to what we had in The Sims 2. Basically, imagine if you could add as many sub-worlds to an existing world and you can access them from Edit Town. Would've been really cool to have an additional button in the top-left corner of the screen - with an airplane or ellipsis (...) symbol, to access additional custom worlds or even other EA worlds. The only problem I have with Traveler is that I have no idea how to access any sub-world, other than the standard 5 (Sims Uni, Oasis Landing, Shang Simla, Champs Les Sims and Al Simhara), without having to send a Sim over there, just to edit them.

ETA: Should probably follow my own advice above and just ask over at NRaas.
