I thought toddlers couldn't die to fire.

They can't, AFAIK. Can pets die to fire?

And that's the main reason I prefer using a sprinkler to fireproof areas

Sprinklers are so smart! I barely use them in game, this really makes them useful to me now. As for the fires, I find them too tame in the game. Like realistically if a fire starts at home, its probable the whole building will be rubble by the next hour - so that's what makes more dangerous fire more fun to me!

One odd rule I have in my sims saves is NO firealarms or burglar alarms! I find it annoying that the fire brigade can appear instantly (I do have a mod to delay them though), but fires and burglars make the game more fun, so why try abolish them? I do find it annoying that my sims can't reach the phone to call the fire dept. before panicking again. I hope theres a mod for that somewhere out there

Omg thank you so much! I've never been able to find it (since my last downloads folder was deleted) for some reason

Unbelievable for me.

Two sims on a date inside a home, can't show that pic nudge nudge wink wink. The temp started to rise and then maxed out and both received sun burn and heatstroke. They were inside, I checked and there is definitely a roof and four walls and all the windows and doors were shut.

Luckily one of my sims is an ace farmer and has a store selling all the fruit and veg you can make in the game. Save every Sim growing it themselves. Time for some cooling lemonade

That's interesting to know that EA didn't make any preventions against the sims being INSIDE to get a sunburn!

Sims can get overheated/get a red overlay (different from sunburn) from other things than suntanning, and even indoors - Insufficient roofing (especially gable roofs), tomato juice, coffee, cocoa, wearing outerwear indoors, exercisig for too long (I think?), using a hot tub, and I think there's a radiator/heater object too (unless I'm thinking of a modified deco object).

The juicer in the background and swim shorts could suggest tomato juice and/or hot tub in play, possibly roofing.

Yeah I leave nothing to chance anymore. That family had 8 sims and all 8 of them died in the fire...I built a goregous mausoleum for them and dedicated buildings to them (they were rather wealthy), but still...I think about how terrible that was in real time.

Its a flat roof and every tile was covered. No tomato juice used, I have the juicer there to make lemonade to cool sims down.
Brief dip in the hot tub but that was purely to get visiting sim out of uniform, which put both sims in swimwear not outerwear.

There is a radiator that you can turn on and then "Warm self" but I don't use them on this hood as I have no winter weather.

The question is how brief that dip was, if both sims took a dip and were overheated after.

I've had a sim spontaneously combust during summer from overheating in the hot tub (a good long while back), and I don't think they were in there for very long.

(These days I use a mod to keep sims' temperatures even - there are some that makes the temp go up/down slower, too. It doesn't take much to get them overheated or frozen. A snowball fight or short dip in the hot tub and they're in trouble).
