Original post 31 Aug 2018 - So following a discussion on a WCIF thread on here, I said it might be a good idea to have a thread with a list of places to get CC from sites that have closed or disappeared as so many are now disappearing (RIP AAS), and especially since the Graveyard is currently down. So I thought maybe if people would post where they have collections of stuff, could they post a link in the comments and I will attempt to compile a list here in the first comment with linkipoos. Maybe say what you have got and where you uploaded it. Also, if people are collecting, we could also use this as a space for those people to ask for stuff they don't have. I'll see about getting it stickied (Success! Thanks HL!). I think we should stick to collections of stuff rather than individual downloads.

OK - I've updated and here's what I've done. I've moved the table itself to the second post in this thread (by editing my own post). I've put in an entry for each creator and listed them in alphabetical order by name of creator and/or site. The second column is a link to the place where the stuffiths are. I will cross-reference those that need it. In the notes column, there will be a link to the poster/notifier's post in this thread - that means there will be a lot of links to posts that are duplicates since some people are collecting several maker's stuff but I want to keep detail as simple as possible in the table and more details can be had in your post. If you post a link to things you have uploaded, include as much detail as you like. And detail is helpful - Foxmanic's post is a nice example where she outlines whether she has everything or there's stuff missing. You could also include details of anything you're specifically looking for. Feel free to update notification posts - but if you do, let me know so I can update the table.

I think it might be helpful to post some rules or guidelines here - this is not meant to be me dictating things but I think it is helpful to have an outline of what's suitable for inclusion and how you might do it. If you think I missed anything or want to suggest changes - please feel free to discuss in the comments. This is meant to be a useful thread for all of us.

Rules
This is a place to post links to collections of materials made by CC makers who have disappeared along with their sites and uploads from the sims community. It's meant to help provide an answer to the 'WCIF ******'s stuff because their site has disappeared?' questions. So what we're expecting to see here is links to SFS or other upload places (including tumblr front pages if the tumblr is devoted to collecting together missing stuff) where people can download things they're looking for.

1. This is not a place to post links if materials are still available elsewhere. So no links to still active or existing (with continued support) sites. It's also not a substitute for the Graveyard - if and when that's back with us - or the booty. Please don't post a link to either of those. Or the Wayback Machine. All of those people can find easily enough themselves. This is for collections made by individuals who just don't want to see certain CC disappear and know it isn't available elsewhere.
2. Regarding the Wayback Machine, if you have made a separate upload of stuff that's also on the Wayback Machine, it's fine to post a link to your collection since the WB doesn't work well for everyone and what's useful here is stable links.
3. Ideally, this is for collections of creators' stuffs rather than individual downloads (unless it's a particularly spectacular individual download)
4. If you provide a notification post, please include information about what creator you are collecting and, if you can, a quick outline of what you have and, of course, a link to where these goodies can be had. Also, if you want, you can also post what you are looking for, if anything.

That's all I can think of for now. If you click a link and it's wrong, please let me know.

Well, I am female. But yeah, I am fine with my stuff being hosted by Bulbizarre and listed here, since I didn't wind up moving most of it over here, and don't have plans to move most of the rest for various reasons. Just, the ones I haven't moved should be considered unsupported for the moment.

Oh boy now that's a good question, I haven't really known for sure for a while myself. (it used to be more organized but I've been neglecting that organizing side of things for a while now and it's completely out of my control now, I will have to sit down and sort everything one day but I honestly don't see that day being any time soon) I've pretty much been trying to find and reupload anything people have asked about, sometimes I find things, sometimes I don't.

Wow - good response. Wasn't quite expecting that many. I will update the first post later today and will speak to HL or Splad or one of the others about getting it stickied (HL probably since she's here: waves).

I know it would also be great if these files (not just links) were put in one place in case any of these sites disappear. Like a backup of a backup. I would hope that any of these creators and their downloads would be available even if they decide to take their site down. Send them a link to SimFileShare and ask if they would create a account and put their files there. Shot in the dark, but worth it. SimSample has the right idea. Start loading files into a directory there of all artist. I know there are so many sites that I miss content from back in the beginning of Sims2. In fact, if anyone knows who runs The Sims Graveyard should write them and ask them to load their files to SimFileShare. Then they don't have to worry about having a new server to load their stuff.

An index with a list of links would be far easier to search through. And they won't be stored here on MTS, but there is SFS.

ETA: simsgraveyard is pescado, and last I heard he is moving servers.

@HugeLunatic - I added your link to your 4ESF archive to the list. That's fine but the Holy Simoly one is 403-ing for me (forbidden). Also, of your other links, are there any specifically you think I should add to this thread since most of them are to still existing sites like Sims2Artists and so on?

As I said in the first post, I think this should be a record of archived files. The booty isn't and never was that. Also, I don't really want this to be a substitute for the Graveyard or the booty but an extra place to search if you can't find something.
